@@ismaeel524birling called the higher up police guy (to check goole's credentials). Gerald called the infermatory to check she died. Then they called back shortly after to say that she died otw too the infermatory and that a police investigator was comming too question them.

use Ouspenskys theory of time for context, basically a never ending cycle that you can only break free from once you learn from your mistakes. the birlings dont learn from their mistake cuz they are happy at the end when they find out that the inspector wasnt real and so the cycle repeats
