He comes across as incredibly vulnerable, someone that wears his heart on his sleeve. Seems like a genuine, caring human being. My whole family watched the Glastonbury set in awe and fell in love with the band, sensibilities and politics on point, they can play, they're piss funny.

You're a poor judge of character then. One can immediately see this guy's a smug narcissist; the way he indulges in every word he utters, the slow aloof way he talks because he's so absorbed in himself, his fake virtue signaling and moral judgements of social issues(of which he has a childlike understanding of) that he only cares about because he thinks doing so makes him a good person, etc. If you don't believe/agree with me, then consider this: Why did he bring up the fact that the city of Bristol (or rather the elite mercantile class of Bristol during a certain period) was involved in the slave trade? How is that tidbit of information really relevant or worth noting in that conversation he was having? It wasn't. He brought it up as a form of randomly thrown in (and very pointless) righteous indignation. Think on that for a minute. For me, a good way I like to use to spot a narcissist is that when they talk about themselves, you'll never see them crack a smile, and it's because, I think, they're unable to laugh at themselves or engage in self deprecation because they take themselves so seriously. Guy's a narcissistic prick, and I for one think he can go fuck off.

I’ve never been to Bristol but I did make friends with a local Bristol couple whilst I was on holiday once, lovely couple and they spoke of the place just how he described it here, it’s a place on the map nobody talks about unless you are from there or ever been there. Thanks for this interview it was interesting and this guy has clearly lived a life not to different from a lot of people out there, it’s always great when a band have passion and a story to tell behind their music. Good luck for the future lads.
