I was inspired by those tiktok videos of armys not knowing bts' discography to make this video: an introduction to the 500 bts songs from chapter one.
I explain every trilogy, era, solo project, collaboration, pre debut song and unofficial song up until proof!
I show every music genre bts has done, what are intros, outros, interludes, skits, b sides, the difference between songs and tracks, how bts has made music in 5 languages, and the achievements of the most important songs of their careers.
0:00 intro to chapter one
1:25 pre debut
8:06 album terms
9:15 school trilogy
16:13 dark & wild era
20:57 youth trilogy
29:47 wings era
35:22 love yourself trilogy
46:14 mots era
53:23 english trilogy
55:04 pandemic album
57:33 english trilogy
1:00:17 PROOF

They’re like no other artist I’ve listened to… i swear. Like it would make sense why army would emphasize how much of a special group BTS is, but now knowing all this, it just makes so much more sense and adds a lot more depth. They really are geniuses. Getting into them I didn’t think they were any different, just some kind, nice, dudes who actually spoke about important matters, but there’s much, much more depth into their music. I don’t know how anyone can say they’re overrated. At that point they’re just lying to themselves because it is absolutely not true.

@@0912soolicome on dude, that's not how it works...I'm personally someone who doesn't discover music rather u can say artists or music discovers me, sounds kinda stupid right?😂 but what I'm trying to say is that, I take time when I discover an artist, if I discover one song from them I'll listen to it for months also I have barely get time from my busy schedule and I'm sure the op is also a busy person. So please, I kindly request you to refrain using the sentence that u used. Let people discover the music when they want.

New armys, remember to read the lyrics using fan translators! They are much better than your regular genius translations (or the terrible unofficial lyric videos). Some amazing translators include doolsetbangtan, bts trans/bangtansubs and muish’s ramblings - they all have websites and the first two have twitter accounts as well!

Hey Bora, not sure if you just misspoke (it's a long video, mistakes were bound to happen) but around 34:40 you mention Fall Out Boy as a Korean band-- they're American, they were among the first Western acts to really give BTS any attention. For Army who don't know, the story of how this collab happened is actually pretty funny. Fall Out Boy's bassist Pete Wentz was at an arcade in Chicago for his kid's birthday party, when he noticed a bunch of people come in making a big fuss. The way he tells it, RM was there to play DDR and apparently was playing it in every city on their tour? (Pete Wentz has mentioned this on a few occasions but I can't actually find a source about Namjoon doing this, but BTS did have a photoshoot in an arcade around this time so maybe what they were there for has been a little mixed up over time) He went and asked some Army who were there who RM was, and later reached out to BigHit to ask if he'd be interested in doing a remix or something-- the immediate answer was yes and RM already knew what song he wanted to do and had ideas. Fall Out Boy later mentioned being surprised Army got the remix trending before it even released, and it actually made the song chart higher than it had when it was originally released. It had originally charted at number 4 on the rock singles chart, but six months later with Army's help it went to number 2.

when i was a baby army 2 years ago, i was so overwhelmed by the amount of music that they have. i had to rely on google searches and made a list so that i could have a slight idea of their vast discography. i had to sit for hours just to compile a list of their albums in a chronological manner so you have no idea how glad i am,, like?? i love you and your dedication- borahae 💜💜💜🔮🔮 (will be sharing this with all baby armys and armys in general) P.S. the moment you started discussing their predebut songs it was an instant like from me bc i had 0 idea that they released so many songs before even debuting. Normally, a group who've done & achieved as much as they did really shld be resting and enjoying their life now...having a family, etc. Even if they stopped today...there's so much content that can last us for a lifetime. Chris Martin was right....as BTS celebrates their 10 year anniversary, their work seems like 100 years!

That's why I say you are the best BTS ARMY channel on KZfaq. The video like this is really necessary. Especially for baby armys and people who are curious to know about BTS. There are very few videos on KZfaq that actually talk about BTS discography in such organized way. BTS have tons of masterpiece songs which many people (including some armys) don't know about. I mean being an ARMY is our first work to discover their music journey. We should talk more about how amazing their discography is and how phenomenal artists they are rather than those cringe ff videos. Guys, Please share this on every platform. Istg this video needs more views.

I've been an army for 7 years, and I've been watching the video for 9 minutes and my head is exploding with so much information, including Iron has already passed away and I have no idea that he was almost part of the current BTS. This video is simply perfect. Thank you so much ❤

May I start off saying, You are an awesome hardworking human! That video was so well put together, explained in detail, and very educational! 👏👏👏 I want to say thank you and I'm sure a lot of other Army's feel the same! I unfortunately didn't know about BTS until 2020 as I know many, many ppl became Army's during the pandemic, they actually found me 6 months after my husband passed away. So many ppl lost loved ones during that time and bc of lockdowns and social distancing, many of us were not only depressed but very lonely. I have become Army and felt the emptiness slowly get a little better. I think everyone one of those 7 young men are unique, sweet, thoughtful, smart, talented, I could find many more nice words for them, I love all of their music both individually and as a group. I have never been a fan of any group in my entire life until BTS stepped in! I find that so interesting and endearing! I do kinda love Louder than Bombs a whole lot! It speaks to my soul!! 💜🙏💜 thank you😊

Omggg...I have been brooding about an introduction to bts's music for ages and its like you read my mind! Phenomenal work bora! I am forevr grateful for how hard you work. Its such good quality, extremely well researched video and it makes my process of reearching over bts 10 folds easier. Its also goes to show how much of a legacy bts has build, one of the kind that is irreplicable!

I've been listening to BTS for almost two years but I swear after this video I still feel like a baby army😂 I know all the songs from the official albums, but some of the solo projects, unofficial and predebuts songs are still missing. In particular, I had no idea that Namjoon had released some unofficial albums/mixtapes before he joined Big Hit. I don't think I have a favorite era. All new releases were important steps for BTS and Army, both musically and in the industry. But the thing that touches me more and more are the lyrics and the meanings behind each song, album and series/trilogy. I remember my first months as army, their discography is so huge that I didn't understand anything, in particular I got confused with LY her, tear and answer🤦‍♀️. New fans are very lucky to be able to watch this new video, it sure is a great reference point for all of us. HAPPY 10 YEARS BTS! Apobangpo💜💜

This just shows brilliantly why Bangtan Sonyeondan was created around Namjoon. Since 2007, that young man kept on writing and making music with BTS, with other artists and by himself. His loneliness and feelings of burn out are so understandable but he still kept working non stop up to now. My goodness, he has never had a day of rest professionally.

True, sometimes I feel sorry for solos especially the makane stans who think they favourite are the reason why we have bts,RM has played lots of bts for the existence of bts ,how i wish we appreciate him more. But so sad that chapter 2 is so biased, believe or not .Many are only focusing on only their favourite to un exit not wanting g to streaming or vote for even bts, but only them favourite

This is amazing. I'm a 2020 ARMY who was lucky enough to stumble over Big Hit's (HYBE's) own discography website when I was first getting interested, but I still ended up having to hunt down each and every song, one by one. Took me about a week to get through it all, and it was incredibly overwhelming, just trying to keep it all straight and wondering what I had missed. This will be a huge service to new ARMYs, and some not so new who get muddled about the different eras :waves:. Thank you so much for the hard work and time spent! 🥰💜 ...ARMYs have made songs for BTS as well, like this year's 'Love Letter' that Jimin listened to during one of his lives, and I've run into a few more here and there. It might be nice to have those all listed up together, too...

When I saw the notification I couldn't believe the type of video you made, Bangtan's discography is so extensive that you dared to do it seriously I thank you very much I love you I love you😭😭🙌 An idea also occurred to me and that is that many Army tend to be confused with the chronology and number of presentations, live shows, concerts, tours and Musters. We know that Bangtan is not far behind with their legendary performances please if at any point you can consider doing such an introduction 🥺

The pre-debut section was astounding! I had no idea just how much of RM's pre-debut output was actually known and available. When he talks about his high school days he usually describes himself as a nerd who just studied all the time, but clearly that is not true!

This is by far the best video on their music that not only gives a summary of their discography but gives context. Thank you for making it. My favourite era is the the Love Yourself trilogy. These albums are what makes me ARMY. It is explored in an honest, unironic and thoughtful way, expressed so that the message is universal and positive. It is life affirming and empathetic. I would love for you to do an in depth analysis of their albums. But I’m so grateful for the time and painstakingly detailed accuracy of the timelines. 💜

Wow!!! (Again!) Boracity Magazine's content never ceases to amaze me. SUCH a gift to Army. - When I want to share content about BTS with someone, I often turn to these videos. My sons & I are always blown away by them. - SO, my fav quote is: "The second album of the trilogy is the critically acclaimed, universally loved, iconic studio album "Love Yourself: Tear". 💜 Wonderful to see their whole incredible discography laid out before us. Thanks for your work. 💜

I am simply speechless. The amount of research, skripting, editing that went into this video is just amaJin and so much appreciated. I bacame Army six months after BTS's debut in Jan 2014 and knew 90% of their discography. Thank you for filling up the remaining 10% with the pre-debut songs. Definitely will add those available on platforms to my playlist. As for favourite era... they all are my favourite. Just like there is a song for each mood you go through, there is an era as well that fits your personal experiences. I listen to their discography almost 24/7. To me it is a no-skip one and I never get tired of listening to such a versatile plethora of songs. Thank you so much for this video essay Bora. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
