Jhope is a god in dancing and also freestyling, you can find videos of him just freestyling (look up "Hope on the Street") and the part where he is crying was because his parents and sister send a videomessage (and he hadn't seen them in a long time). He is a goofball and really funny but he's actually really serious too when it comes to writing and composing music and the performance, together with RM he has a leading part in the group (that's why ther are a "powercouple")

Its a common theme on the variety shows especially one called "Weekly Idol" they can dance to the same sex songs but more often than not the MC will play random opposite sex songs to see if they know the dances. Most groups pay attention to most of the songs and can dance to them. You can youtube them up.
