I just have to say thank you for caring about the lyrics, because that's the main thing about Bangtan: at the start they gained fans because of their lyrics that gave hope to other people. I appreciate you wanting to know more🙏👌 Also I would definitely recommend reacting to Cyphers from part one to part 4. It really shows their progress as rappers, especially Hope, who didn't have any experience before joining BigHit. Also did you know that Yoongi is like 11th fastest rapper in Korea and in top 3 amongst idol rappers? He be Sonicing. And thanks for not stereotyping him as the cold hearted savage dude, because while he sure can be savage, he is much much more than that. Can't wait for J-Hope👍

Emil Lemko No problem!!! Thanks so much for watching! And yes, lyrics means a lot. Dope beats and dance moves are one thing, but the lyrics are another!

KJ Sadly no, I just looked it up bc I thought maybe I was going by outdated info, but Yoongi is still 11th with 11.4 syllables per second 👏

While watching any videos or shows from Korea, please understand that things that we in America may consider as gay or homosexual, isn’t there, two men can hold hands, hugs and hold onto each other and it’s just them being close as friends, usually it’s misunderstood by Americans🤗I can’t wait for the next reaction, keep up the good work

This is a long comment but I hope you'll read it and start reacting to Suga's mixtape AGUST D ❤ Min Yoongi was born on March 9th, 1993 in Daegu, South Korea and is currently 24 years old. Yoongi started playing the piano at a very young age, and, according to the lyrics in his solo (First Love by Suga) the piano was the only thing that seemed to stay by his side throughout all of his hardships. Through these lyrics we can see how much of an impact music had on his life even at such a young age. As he grew older, Suga began to grow an interest in producing music. At the age of 13, he wrote songs, created original beats, and worked in a music studio. Eventually, Yoongi got the nerve to tell his parents about his desire to pursue his dream of becoming a musical artist. But, his parents were strongly opposed to the idea and discouraged him from anything that remotely related to music. Suga revealed that at one point his parents had thrown away all of his written songs, hoping that he would focus more on his studies than on his musical interests. In another interview, Suga had also revealed that his parents had taken abusive measures to keep him from becoming an artist. (*Although, before you jump to conclusions about his parents, please keep in mind that Yoongi has forgiven his parents and respects them now more than ever.*) *“As for me...[my parents] were very much against [me becoming a rapper] to make me reconsider [my choice], they hit [me] and fought, and things like this...so I made music [under those circumstances].” -SUGA* Even though his parents were strongly against his ambitions, Yoongi persevered. He never stopped or gave in to his parent’s wishes, only because he felt that strongly for his love of music. He left his hometown Daegu and went to Seoul. At the age of 16, Suga set out to make more music, this time without his parent’s permission. At the time, things for Yoongi had been quite rocky. He worked as a composer and a performer, but not many people would come to his shows or buy his CD’s. He was so financially unstable that every day he had to choose between starving himself or riding the bus home (and he always choose to starve 😭💔), because he was too poor to pay for both food and transportation. Even so, he helped produce mixtapes with other rappers in Daegu and continued to work in the music studio despite these unfortunate circumstances. He even produced songs for others but in the end it gets ripped off/he doesn't get paid. And as if all this weren’t enough, the atmosphere of the people around him, some of which were loved ones, became toxic. People told him that he would never make it as an artist, that he would make his family go bankrupt if he continued to do things like this. He later joined an underground crew called D-Town and produced many songs for other artists, such as Reflow. It has not been said what happened between D-Town and Suga, but it is known that this is when he was rumored to have started working for a man named Bang Shi Hyuk, also known as the main man behind BigHit Entertainment, the company of BTS. But of course, tragedy had to strike yet again. Yoongi started to look for a part-time job because he needs money to make music and to live so he worked as a part timer delivering meals to people with a motorcycle and then he suffered from a major accident leaving him with an injured shoulder. The exact details of Suga’s shoulder injury has not been addressed upfront, but it has been referenced to in his lyrics several times. (The Last by Agust D) His shoulder injury seemed to have been the last straw. He thought about giving up everything because of it-his dreams, his career, his future. After all, everything he did seemed to end in suffering. What was the point in continuing to do what he loved if it only caused him pain? Yoongi has been suffering from mental illnesses since his pre-debut days. As we all know, depression and anxiety aren’t just things that go away with time, which means that Yoongi has been battling these disorders even before BTS came about. He had been suffering for years on his own, with no one to help him. And yet, he still managed to pull through in the end. But, that’s when he realized something. Throughout all of this shit that he had gone through, he realized that the only thing that remained by his side was his piano, which from a greater perspective probably represents music as a whole. Even though his love for music came with a lot of suffering, it was also the one thing that had given him happiness and encouragement throughout all of his journey. So, with the help of his first love, he decided to keep fighting. Similarly to the atmosphere surrounding Suga during his music studio days, people made fun of BTS, saying that they would never make it as an idol group, that they were fools. That BTS was a joke, a group that would always remain in the shadows of major idol groups and would later fade into the background. Other artists dissed them and tried hard to drag down their name. But that didn’t stop Yoongi, nor any of the other members. The members of BTS fought their way to the top through hard work and dedication, proving everyone they knew wrong. They worked their asses off and slowly began to rise to fame. Suga’s parents did not support him for the first year since BTS’ debut. But as time went on, his parents slowly began to loosen up after seeing how much of an effect music had on him, and then eventually they became their son’s #1 supporters. Yoongi first acknowledged his parents at a concert, giving a speech about his experiences and then, overcome with emotions, began to cry as he bowed to his parents in the audience. Yoongi is known as the member who is the best at hiding his feelings resulting in him coming off as cold and isolated, which is definitely not the case-he’s anything but that. He’s hard-working, wise, and is often referred to as a genius lyricist. He truly cares for others, he’s just not very good at showing it. TRANSLATED BY: SUGAFULL27 Jan10, 2016 Suga confessed his feelings thro twt: "The saddest time is when I face myself realizing tht I cant treat all people equally when I deal with lots of people. I don't want to hurt anyone but theres time when you cant do that. I think i'm someone who still lacks a lot." "I liked standing on the stage and i still like it. When I was 17yo performing in front of 2 people I still proudly looked into their eyes and performed. However, after the debut i don't think i am confident in myself. Probably becoz i know i'm still lacking a lot." (Jan10, 2016 twt) "To me, it's very easy to bear my sorrow. However, when my beloved ppl who love me are in sorrow it's very hard to endure." "I really hate becoming dull. I dont want to think these days wch many ppl who love me consider as glorious days like typical normal days" "Thanks for making me to a blessing person. ARMY. I will appreciate every single day and live becoz i'm a human who lacks a lot." He never forgets to thank fans.

Not sure if anyone has dumped this info on you yet, but you probably already noticed that the word *hyung* gets used a lot, I want to explain what it means. It's a bit long, but I hope it helps you to understand BTS' group dynamics better :) In Korea, honorifics are used to express respect and show how close you are with someone. *Hyung* means older brother and shows respect for older age, but also shows that they are very close. *Hyung-nim* would be more respectful and just *nim* even more respectful. For example Bang PD-nim. Bang Sihyuk is the CEO and main Producer (PD is short for Producer) of the company BTS is signed with. The call him "nim". In Jungkook's introduction videos you'll notice *sunbaenim.* "Sunbae" means senior (everyone who has more experience in a field that you, in BTS' case everyone who debuted before them) and "nim" to show respect. *ssi* is also quite respectful, and is mostly used with formal speech. So Jungkook, who is the youngest, can call Suga both Suga-hyung and Suga-ssi, and Suga can call Jungkook "Jungkook-ssi" if he wants to be formal or when JK does something impressive, he could call him that as well. He can also use Junkook-ah (ah is used with kids and younger people you're close with) and Jungkook-ie (similar with -ah). In Jhope's introduction you'll hear *Noona* It means older sister and is the famale equivalent for "Hyung". There are many many more, and all depend who speaks and who they're talking to and their social hierarchy, but these are the ones you'll notice a lot with BTS. If the correct honorifics aren't used, it can be very rude, disrespectful or, depending on the situation, even humiliating for the older person. Older people and seniors are expected to care for their *dongsaengs* (younger siblings) and *hoobaes* (juniors) by giving them advice, paying for meals and snacks etc, while the younger ones and juniors are expected to learn from them, respect and not criticise them. Since BTS are close like family, they mostly don't really care about age and annoy whoever they want, but honorifics are still a big deal and would never be dismissed. There are a clip or two where the younger ones leave the honorifics out or say words that they aren't supposed to say tho older people, like for example "yah" (hey), and the older ones get mad at them for being disrespectful. There are also *different behavioral rules,* but since BTS ditched basically all of them, I won't explain them. You might see them apply them when a younger member made an older member mad and he wants to make up for it, but other than that, you'll only see them apply them with strangers, seniors, and people who are above them in the social hierarchy, like managers, CEO, writers, producers and older strangers. Examples: Taking and giving things with both hands, tuning away from the older person when eating or drinking something, ... *This is also the reason why the creator of these introduction videos always points out that they act as if they don't have an age gap between them, because in Korea, age plays a very big role in how you interact with people and behave around them.* This ended up a bit long, but I hope you found it interesting :)

I would definitely do a reaction to Agust D’s mixtape!! Mostly songs like Give It To Me, The Last, and Agust D. Agust D is the main track and has a music video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ab-PeMyqzJrGlp8.html and so does Give It To Me kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lcCXlpRj3rKZo6c.html. The Last just gives a lot of good insight into what Yoongi struggles with when it comes to mental illness, which is kind of a taboo subject in the Korean music industry, so it’s a ballsy song to release to the public, if not wholly cathartic and emotionally taxing.

The episode where Suga hits Jimin in the ass, was the punishment for a game. Jimin is not very lucky in the games for what he often loses. I do not remember what the game was, but Jimin had lost and Suga was supposed to hit Jimin in the ass and if any of the other members laughed, they should receive the same punishment. I think Jin was also hit in the ass for laughing and someone else was also punished, but I do not remember. Please take "relationships with the other members" as relationships between siblings. They have many years of coexistence so they have extreme confidence between them and physical contact between men is not frowned upon in Korea, despite continuing to have problems with homosexuality. That a child plays with dolls, likes the color pink, or hugs another child of the same sex, does not define their sexuality.
