I'm an introvert and let me tell you, I've been to a festival by myself once. A friend I was to go with stood me up and I didn't want to sell my ticket or anything because my fav artists were performing, so I went alone! And apart from this huge fear somewhere inside of me at the beginning, I had the time of my life and have never had more fun than at that time! 🔥

I’m an introvert and I go to festivals/raves by myself all the time. Some of the best times I’ve had in my entire life. Going by yourself forces you to interact and meet other people and that’s something that an introvert is not very good at. But trust me when you’re by yourself it’s really not as bad as it seems. Whoever thinks it’s weird or judges it has obviously never tried before so they really shouldn’t even be speaking on it.

Dude I’m going solo next year too! This year I chickened out last minute and went with a group, but sometimes I feel like we get TOO attached to sticking within our own groups that we don’t try to extend ourselves to others. I did it here and there this year but I want to engage people more in 2020.

There is a difference from being shy and being and introvert. Introverts aren’t necessarily shy, they just don’t enjoy socializing. Shy people are afraid of socializing. An introvert can be good at socializing, but just not like it.

Im an introvert as well. Managed to fly to electric love festival by myself 3 years ago, also slept in the camping area which was even harder than chilling in a hotel afterwards but everything was totally worth it!! highly recommend if you are into EDM !

This was my first EDC and I’m also an introvert and it was amazing. I explored by myself for a while and it was lonely but this woman stopped me and sensed my frustration and gave me the best most calming hug ever. We exchanged maybe two words and went our opposite ways. The community is amazing. I can’t wait for next year. 💕💕💕

I go to festivals and concerts all the time by myself it’s not that bad, I also do see how people could want to go with somebody to these kind of events, but over the 2 years of me being graduated from high school and being very shy and trying to make new friends, I’ve kinda got over it and don’t let that bother me from the fact that I love music and from experiencing things. Hopefully I’ll find someone or a group of friends that loves the same things as I do.

And I thought going to Escape 2017 by myself would be bad, but I made friends and they helped me get out of my comfort zone💕

I’m an introvert but the only time I can be an ‘extrovert’ is at concert. Everyone there is for the same thing and we can all bond together over the music. It’s amazing. I’ve gone to two three day festivals alone and it was amazing both times. You meet some awesome people that way!

After breaking up with my first boyfriend i felt like i had become so codependent and only could go places i personally liked if he or other friends would join me. After noticing how much i had lost myself within a year i decided i needed to fall in love with solitude again and stop missing out on my favorite events and concerts just because no one wants to come with me anymore. The first concert i went to i got drunk because i was so anxious and felt like everyone could see me alone at a social event but frankly i think they didn‘t even care. At some point i even talked to like two new people and those small experiences made me feel so confident and less codependent. That was my first concert i went to just to see a random band that was in town for free as a sort of warm up for the mitski concert i wanted to see alone later that month. I went to the smaller event first and after that my stomach didn‘t hurt when i thought of seeing mitski on my own. Sometimes you forget that you live your life for yourself when you are in a romantic relationship. After losing yourself or forgetting how to be your truest self and getting used to someone being around constantly and sharing experiences with you, which all definitely happens when you spend a bunch of time with one person, losing them puts you in the weirdest and loneliest place. This is such a great video and i love seeing how you challenge yourself. People stop listening to songs they shared with an ex or stop visiting places they used to visit with them after they break up. But why? This is way more rebellious and healthy. I love how you dared to share this on the internet, even the version that is lonely in the hotel room feeling awful for themself. Keep growing and keep dancing to music that makes you happy. when you are alone you deserve those moments the most.

I can relate so much to this... being happy that it's an experience you'll never forget, and yet being sad because there's no one there to share it with (by that I mean like friends, not the crowd of strangers around you) I actually did something like this earlier this year - went to see Endgame by myself, and it truly was a bittersweet experience - I was happy because I was doing something on my own, but also sad because there was no one there to gush about the movie

Introvert here. I’m not shy or I feel that I hate everyone. It’s just people drain me and I want to be alone most of the time. Introversion doesn’t mean you’re shy, anxious, antisocial, etc. it can happen to extroverts as well. The intro was a bad explanation with introversion. Going to a festival as an introvert is actually pretty awesome. You are nowhere more alone than in a crowd of people. You can enjoy the music you love as much as you want because nobody holds you back. However this guy is just not over his ex which has nothing to do with his "introvertness".

Concerts are a super fun thing if you're an introvert. I've been to plenty by myself, and everyone faces one way and is concentrated on the talent and not you lol, it's a perfect place for an introvert, similar to a movie theatre or something in that way.

I was gonna go with my ex, we broke up and I went to edc by myself but with friends, I had friends but I say by myself because when you’re in a relationship of years and you go everywhere with this person you then have to get used to being by yourself again I’m proud of him
