An Orchestral Tribute to CASTLEVANIA II - Simon's Quest - Complete Game Soundtrack is a new style of video that I am trying, featuring scenes from the game playing along the complete orchestral soundtrack, written by Japanese Composer Kenichi Matsubara
My goal is to let you go through the game in a short time to triggers old memories while hearing all the games great music:)

This is great. VG Music Revisited did an amazing job! Loved this game...still do. I would call the local video game/comic store EVERYDAY after school to see if it came in and finally it did! Also, thank goodness for Nintendo Power as I would have been stuck in a few places!

@@kylemsymons Yeah, we didn,T have internet back then to search for clues when we got stuck. This game had a way of misleading you with weird hints from villagers that were kind hard to figure out. Awesome game though:)

🔥🔥I dream that it will be possible one day to play the original games WITH your music instead of the basic one. (maybe a hack? but I don't know enough about it..) Because frankly, your music brings a new dimension to these already legendary games. Thanks man, amazing work as always

I tried to hack one of the rom with an emulator to see if it was possible to change the graphics and music while keeping the original game mechanics intacts. I think it is possible, but it requires skills and knowledge beyond my reach.

Incredible work! The low brass that comes in the third time through the Dracula's castle theme is so monstrous! It gave me chills. The choir during the ending scene fit perfectly. If you were able to make a rom that had the original game with your soundtrack I would buy it.

If one day there is a tool that allows people to change the music from games and that is not too complicated to use, I will definitely do it. For the moment, I think it is possible but it requires coding. I wish I knew people who could do it eheheh

Dude..."The Magic of Scheherazade" has some if the most beautiful music in NES history, it'd do very well here. (Loved Simon's Quest, too!)

I rented this once from Movie Gallery when I was very young and it absolutely mystified me. Years later when I got back into the NES this was the first game I wanted to beat. That AVGN video was like my words coming out of someone else's mouth, but I still loved this game.

5:00 - 6:18 Within these castle walls - is the best adaptation here. This has always been my favorite song from the soundtrack and it really shines here. Just wish it was longer. Side note: A requiem (ending) 6:47 - is pretty awesome here as well.

A requiem sounds amazing, it offers hope and sound different from the nes version which felt melancholy and even somber to me. good job!

Another re-orchestrated CastleVania tribute in the bag. This time it's CastleVania II: Simon's Quest, Great work on this one. Now, The CastleVania III: Dracula's Curse orchestral tribute in still WIP. While the Super CastleVania IV orchestral tribute in in the works?

I know it isn't the focus of this video but for god's sakes! Who are these losers that use those awful sharpening filters on these retro games? It makes them look absolutely awful.
