Excellent info for downloading GPX files. I've been using Gaia for several years (primarily GWNF) and downloading GPX files is the next level. Your trip reports are excellent/info filled and for me most valuable because they are east coast and specifically Mid-Atlantic focused. The AZ, UT, etc trips are epic but usually once a year endeavors. Mid-Atlantic trips are something my brother and I do multiple times a year since we are northern Virginia based and both retired. Nothing like the excitement of exploring a new trail, thanks!

Great info. I just downloaded Gaia premium two days ago and just started figuring my way around. This video came with good timing and helps me out with that a ton. You guys got me interested in the DBBCB a few days ago and I’ve been searching for good OHV roads and planning trips ever since.

Best video for using Gaia that I've seen. Only question is ... how to input into my Garmin Montana 700i. I'll be using that for Razor rides out here in Arizona.

I have a Garmin and base camp interface is rediculious.... I have ONX and its easy but i can never get some features to work. Thanks fo the input in Gaia. Im going to consider it.

After planning a route or importing one, how do you navigate to it then follow it? Does it give turn by turn or are you really just driving and making sure you stay in the line? Great video.

The maps which I create on the PC version of Gaia are visable on my Galaxy S9 phone via the Garmin cloud; however, the Backcountry Discovery Routes GPX maps which were downloaded from the BDR website to my Windows 11 browser don't seem to be uploading to the Gaia colud, or at least my phone can't find them. If I try to directly download the GPS maps from the BDR website to my phone I get an error saying that GPX files aren't supported. I am almost certain that I read from the Gaia site that they are supported. Nice tutorial in the intermediate category.

Do you generally use Google maps (to get to the general area/location that your gonna explore) then switch to GAIA (to navigate you to run the tracks that you’ve pre-planned on your computer using GAIA GPS)?

This was a great overview. I have GAIA but it's due to be renewed. This video prompted me to renew. Does Gaia have an option for sharing files with public? It seems like they would, do you make your files shareable?

Ok I’m trying to download gpx files to my Samsung tablet, but when I hit download it automatically opens up another GPS system that I use on my tablet. I cannot figure out how to save it straight to the tablet first, it does not give me any options.

Where do you get the MVUM and the topo shaded layers? I do not have those layers listed on my tablet, phone or PC.

if you do say a one year subscription and download maps. What happens if you do not subscribe the next year ? Are the maps you download now no available ?

i dont know if you have a website or a facebook page..... but it would be awesome if you had one place to share these files so i could visit places youve been or follow your tracks! i know most people make this into a $ game and want people to pay for this. that part is up to you i guess!
