In case you didn't know, that TV antenna is of a type currently still in use. You don't need cable, they still broadcast. Secrets Hideaway is an adult themed hotel. I remember in the 1970's there were Sybaris hotels in the Chicago area.

Looked up SECRETS HIDEAWAY... the room featured had a mirror above the bed, a stripper pole and a sex swing... I think your assumptions about the place are spot on... LOL

I just bought a house in Lakeland and will be moving there in May. I'm terrified of this move because Florida isn't where I wanted to end up, but I have no choice. Agree with thoughts on Winter. While Florida had maybe one day approaching freezing, it had a lot more days of 40 degree weather then prior years.

You are not imagining things Adam!😂 Our City Hall building did get a bit of a facelift. There was a lobby expansion so it could be used as an entrance for existing offices as well as the new three story structure on the south side of the building. Also…the brick streets are an absolute mess because of the company the city hired to lay them!! They’ve already had to perform so many repairs from the newly laid bricks. Most people that live here are not happy with how it’s been handled. Hope you enjoyed your time here visiting with your parents!❤️

The relic of the day - TV Antenna from 1970s? lol Wonder if it was a high-tech version that would turn automatically. 🤣My dad got one of those installed it was OK we always had fuzzy TV in New Hampshire/Maine anyway! I like the area you live in kinda run down but new things popping up everywhere. I guess I will just live vicariously through you AdamtheWoo for now. It would be nice to retire in warm weather and drive a souped-up golf cart to get coffee and randomly see things.

The bicycles at that McDonald's (which I call the world's most beautiful McDonald's to differentiate it from the world's largest McDonald's which is elsewhere in Orlando) have not worked for at least a year from my recollection.

A Small Slice of Old St. Cloud Artist: Howie Bolton Location: 1138 New York Ave St. Cloud, Florida 34769 (south wall) Special thanks to Jim Hemphill for sharing vital information regarding the markers history. This mural was inspired by a postcard found in Abbie Robert's collection of Downtown St. Cloud in 1910, the 4th of July Parade. I'm effort to increase public interest, and to help pay for this historic mural residence were given the opportunity to pay $50 per face to have their face painted on this Mural. There is a total of 30 faces which brought in $1500 dollars. Along with a grant from St. Cloud Main Street in the amount of $1000 dollars, that left a balance to be paid by the building owner of $100 dollars. Total cost was $2600.
