For the last 6 months I'm in a Linkin Park Tribute band as a keyboardist, and I had to program the synth patches for the songs which we play. Amazing what the AN1x synth is capable of, even 20 years after it's release.

This is great work man! Honestly, listening to this makes you appreciate all of the electronic layers hidden in the background with Linkin Park's music. It's usually the vocals, guitars, and drums that are leading the way and people usually hear the most, but it's these intricate little layers sprinkled in the background that really makes their music so unique. Amazing work man. Keep it up!

I now have this synth in my collection. Yamaha synths around that time seemed to be overshadowed by Roland, especially the JP8000 that I also own. I'll probably never get sounds as good as these from my ANX, but They sound great. I prefer it to my JP8000 that sounds much colder being digital. Being a VA, this sounds much better in my humble opinion. I'm totally blown away by your sounds and programming. I wouldn't know where to start. Brilliant, well done.

modular synthesis hasn't changed much in the past 30 years :) I also have some pretty good dubstep patches on this synth. No matter if you're modeling on the latest expensive synth or some from 30 years ago, as long as they have the same parameters (osc, filter, amp, env, lfo and FX) you can achieve almost equal results in both.

Wow! you sound like Mike shinoda for New divide in Verse and chorus parts tho. I have now a Yamaha P125 and I press the strings variation 1, It sound like "Leave out all the rest". Then I go the E. Piano with Variation 0, It sound like "breaking the habit". Then I go to the String variation 3, It sound like "shadow of the day". I pressed the variation 2 on E. piano, It sound like the end of a song from shadow of the day. And I go to the piano variation 1, It sound like In the end, Numb, and what I've done. But now I need to buy a small keyboard like Mike Shinoda Yamaha virus TI. But nice video of yours btw.

Good job dude. How can i produce the intro sound of somewhere i belong virtual ? Can you tell me ?
@TheFinalCutBG
@TheFinalCutBG 4 жыл бұрын
I'm afraid that's impossible. The intro is just the chords played on acoustic guitar and then the whole recording is reversed backwards. The sound of guitar alone is hardly achievable on synth. Now imagine it synthesizing a reversed sample of it. When we cover this song live, I just play the original sample. Edit: Here is what I'm talking about: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/g5qaa5xep9yvg58.html

I assume you're talking about making patches. Well... lot's of practice. I listen to the sound, then I fiddle around with synth's parameters till I achieve something similar. @@LubeyGTC probably I won't have the time to do it, but you can download the file with the sounds, open it with AN1x editor and see all the parameters (VCO, filters, lfo and so on).

Can someone share the scratch sample from papercut? Please :)
@TheFinalCutBG
@TheFinalCutBG 4 жыл бұрын
It's not a sample. You can use any synth (vst or analogue), to create it. Just needs a noise oscillator, some envelope tweaks on the filter and a little bit of distortion.

These are great, but you could probably cut some work for yourself because some of these parts are actually guitars, like the verses of From the Inside and With You!
@TheFinalCutBG
@TheFinalCutBG 5 жыл бұрын
I agree - With You has guitar harmonics in the verse, but since our guitarist was rapping, I had to play them on synth. As for From the Inside - nope, I'm pretty sure it's piano and strings there.

@@TheFinalCutBG FTI verses have clean guitar part :) For example you can see Brad playing it at 1:16 (and hear it throughout the verse pretty clearly) kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j6llaaqlrt2mdIU.html
