This is a companion video to go along with the Ana Beanie Crochet Pattern’s written instructions. In other words, if you are working the written pattern this video serves as a guide to help with difficult stitches.
The Ana Beanie comes in adult and child sizes. It is worked from the brim up using textured stitches. The video is working the adult size. Skill level is intermediate to advanced due to more difficult stitches.
The Ana Beanie written pattern can be found for free at crochetitcreat...
If you prefer a PDF to print, it is available on my Ravelry Store www.ravelry.co... or Etsy Shop www.etsy.com/l...
Finish the beanie look with a faux fur Pom Pom. Make your own with faux fur fabric found at your local craft store. There is a post on crochetitcreat... for how to make your own.
The Ana Beanie Pattern uses an H 5.0mm crochet hook and worsted weight #4 yarn. About 150 yards for the child size and 200 for the adult size.
If you are looking for the Messy Bun Version mentioned in the video, find it here crochetitcreat...
The matching Infinity scarf pattern can be found here crochetitcreat...

As a beginner crocheter I’ve noticed comments about slowing down etc but personally this is very well explained for me. It doesn’t say beginner beanie it’s just showing you how she does it. If you’ve done beginner stuff you can clearly understand what she’s doing. I think the speed and they way she explains it is just fine. Thank you for the video as it’s hard to find patterns and since I’m newer I don’t know how to read patterns but seeing the stitches works great for me! So thank you♥️

I've made this pattern at least five times and I love it! I've changed the brim to have a fold over and I've used yarns that are color changing as you go. So much fun to make; especially after I got the Camel Stitch figured out. Thank you for sharing. My daughters LOVE the ones I made them and say they get compliments whenever they wear them. Crochet on! Oh, and pom poms rule!

I used a skein of Red Heart medium and did 60 rows for the brim measuring 17”. After that I did 60 single crochet stitches. It came out perfectly sized. I tried the 84 sc and by the 3rd or 4th row I saw it going wrong. I have made dozens of hats for adults and I thought the 84 sc’s sounded a bit odd but I went along with it. Tore it apart and restarted. Happy with the 60sc’s.

This beanie is super cute. I am a former chemo patient and wanted to make beanies to donate to my local chemo center during the coronavirus. I made this pattern just a tad smaller (to fit more snug on bald heads). its perfect because of the texture which adds a little body and depth to the head when there is no hair. Perfect, thanks.

Theres a lot of people complaining about how you made YOUR video. I think it's great. People need to learn how to use the tools KZfaq provided, either by slowing down the video speed, using double tap to FF if needed, and pausing when needed. I made the hat strictly off this vid and had no trouble whatsoever. Thank you for doing this!💜

Love this pattern. I'm Australian, had one ball of yarn in this covid-19 isolation thing. It suggested 3.5mm hook, so I went for it and yup, to small. So it's now a head band 😝 one thing for that camel stitch... it helps if you crochet tightly, do the row before loosely... I couldn't get my hook in, so unravelled and did it loosely and got on much better... dig it! Thaaankyou for sharing... I had fun, will try again with proper sized hook and yarn...

Slow Down Please! When changing a stitch, showing us how slowly would be less frustrating. Also the first SC CS needs a loose warning for ease of the following row. Sounds like you were overwhelmed at the time you made this video. I felt like it was a bother for you to make time. My hat turned out pretty. I used two colors, cream for the first section and brown for the rest. This hat Takes way to long to make!

Why didn't you pause the video till you almost to the end? It takes too long to watch you crocheting the whole round, next time just pause your vidio

@@margieparedes8851 no. people like me need to see it being crocheted. she fast forwarded the video, that should be good enough for you.

Two seconds before the 30 minute mark, it skips ahead without explanation. Now I’m trying to figure out the stitch. I’m new and you’re very fast. Very beautiful beanie!

I don't know why people waist their time posting a "Tutorial video" and then they crochet like if they were crocheting by themselves alone. HEY, IT'S CALL A TUTORIAL. SLOW DOWN AND EXPLAIN EVERY ROW AND STITCHES. 🤨

the pattern has all the individual stitches. this isn't one of the "absolute beginner" tutorials, those are typically the ones that explain the stitches throughout the pattern. this is a companion video for a pattern ranked intermediate/advanced, but imo if you go watch videos on the stitches listed in the written pattern and learn them before following this you should be fine.

This is a.beautiful pattern however the third loop crocheting is very difficult, which I am not a fan of. I changed up the pattern to make it easier. Thanks.

This is a good tutorial, my only suggestion is to go slow the first 5 stitches of each row and slow the last few stitches of each row rather than watching super speed to the end because you can’t see/follow well. Definitely not for newbies just learning all the stitches. I do like how you used the stitch markers at the beginning of the project to get the 84 stitches brilliant!
