so good. i wish irish was more widely spoken even just in ireland so that i could speak it more without fear of people not understanding. irish isn't quite as political as spanish here, but i see she feels the same love for her language

I love Spanish, it's such a beautiful language, and I pity those who can not open their minds to see the beauty of other cultures. America is an amalgamation of cultures, and those who expect other to assimilate do not realize that we do not have our own culture and traditions, and what we call our culture has actually come as a result of the diversity that we should celebrate

Too bad people like anacristina look down on hispanics like me who don't speak any spanish. I understand pride in your culture and language, but too often i'm seeing it used against others in a twisted form of in-group/out-group.
