@@saydiparker3697 Cuticle is the dead skin at the base of a fingernail or toenail. ... You're probably cutting the nail folds which are LIVING skin cells. Cuticles are DEAD skin cells underneath the nail fold and cutting them-when done right-shouldn't cause any inflammation.
@samanthasanseverino27003 жыл бұрын
As a nail tech it seems like the cuticle bit isn't doing its work really good. Also that's not how you trim the cuticle, when trimming the cuticle needs to be cutted entirely in one step, you never pull the nipper twords yourself in this way the skin will follow youre movement and it will create hangnails. To the people concerned that the cuticle can't be removed I would like to explain that the cuticle has no blood vessels and sticks to the nail only if you're damaging either the nail or the surrounding skin. Nail techs need to be careful with the eponichium, which is different from the cuticle and protects you from infections. After the prep with a file, buffer or mandrill the nail doesn't have to turn reddish, it means you've gone too far. A set shouldn't stay on your nails longer than 3 or 4 weeks, you should ask for a refill or a new set at this time even if the set is perfect. The apex moves with the grouth of your nails and this could lead to harmful nail breaks and onicolisis. Also it is possible that some water penetrates between the material and the nail and you get onicomicosis or pseudomonas. As nail techs we HAVE to give our clients correct infos.

Nails dont really need c02 to be delivered from blood Actually nails are like...well Nails are basically calcium deposits thats grow out of your finger and the parts of the nail that are visible are dead cells that harden.... and are no longer living Think about it...have your nails ever hurt...not really the only times you feel pain is because you may have an ingrown nail which is the nail growing into your flesh thus causing the pain in the flesh When you cut your nails to short you feel pain because the flesh under/attached to the nail has no skin thus causing pain to only the flesh When you slam your finger in a door the nail will look bruised. Thats because the flesh underneath is injured not the nail Or when you feel pain around the cuticle thats probably an infection and or fungus which is harming the flesh You see its just the flesh that feels pain and not the nail Nails are like armor for your fingers bc imagine having no nail..they'd just be squishy and more likely to sustain injury

I have never had to cut my cuticle nor would I ever do it or allow any other person to do it. I have always been told that there is no need to cut the cuticle because of the epiniciem and live tissue it will definitely cause irritation and infection however if you prep your nails properly with just gentle pushing back of the cuticle and then you would use a efile and a cuticle ebits and I guarantee you that you should only need to maintain and get a good primer and dehydrater or get the pH bond from young nails. But if you are ok with it and there you're nails well I have to be ok with it and you do make it work
@MadeByTaniel8 ай бұрын
Eponychium* the eponychium is not the same as cuticle btw. The cuticle is the dead skin, produced by the eponychium, that sometimes sticks down on your nail plate and extends on the nail as it grows sometimes. It is necessary to always remove that dead skin when doing enhancements or you WILL get lifting, no matter the products used. Some people will have more dead skin than others, and while some can be easily pushed back and scraped off, others might need to be filed and/or trimmed off, even with the use of cuticle softener/remover. While it is true that pushing them back daily and oiling them can, overtime reduce them, nails still need to be properly prepped before enhancements. Removing cuticle does not affect the eponychium not it's ability to protect. Certified beauty therapist btw.

Hi, I actually went to school to be a nail tech. Her nails aren’t “damaged” they’re just etched from the file. If they were damaged there would be layering in her nails. You don’t actually need to take breaks from having acrylics to keep them healthy, your nails don’t need to “breathe”. The cuticle is the dead skin on the nails, which you can cut (but in this particular video it looks like she was cutting at live skin which is called the Eponychium). Please educate yourselves before talking on things you don’t know about because of your own personal preferences. Nobody cares if you don’t do your nails.

as much as i think acrylic nails are gorgeous, this must damage your nails so much. first you buff them hardly, then you cut them with this metal tool which really damage your nail and can cause your nail to split in two or other issues (you can use it but just cut a little part and do the rest with a nail filer please) then you cut your cuticles, please dont cut your cuticles,they are made to avoid bacterias from entering your body. you can push them gently but dont cut them. and then you dehydrate your nail. if you wanna do the dame thing as her and you are gonna damage your nail so much just so they last more than 1 month, dont do it its not worth it. so thats why i am letting my nails grow long naturally with what nature gave us rather than damaging my nail just for acrylic but one day i wanna try to have acrylic nails but as of now on its a huge no! but i appreciate ana content and its not meant to be rude. *daily reminder and tips skip if you aint interested* please hydrate your nail and if you cant stop biting your nails here is what i did. i had family members with such long nails and i started kinda being jealous, i informed myself on nails and realised how much i really damaged my nails. so i MOTIVATED MYSELF,and stopped thinking that “i bite my nails and i cant stop” i was like, okay ill try to stop for a month and if i bite my nails ill catch myself doing it and will think about long nails. and its been officially 1 month since i stopped biting my nails, i used vitamin e, jojoba oil and secret ingredients to make a sort of oil-cream i carry , whether its at school or at home!

The ones where she puts the nails into the skin, and then pulls them out is a fake hand. 🤦🏼♀️

Damn my nails have always been healthy but those nails look pretty damaged. Also I can’t get fake nails because my nails grow really long and fast. But they look pretty.

it doesn't look damaged, it looks like the surface of the nail was ground down to allow for better adherence to the acrylics. even if your nails grow fast thats what you get a fill for.
