I stopped and watched because the title paid homage to the women who wrote this song around a campfire and lifted her voice to our ancestors. I felt her spirit in the song through your voice.... skal and may your lifeblood beat strong and true!

In my own family my Mother and I were nature spirits and would wander barefoot down streams looking for stones, bones and all matter of special items with their own magic. Though years and miles apart from the author of this chant her meaning lives on within me, and in turn, my own savage daughters. Together we are all Mothers, Daughters and Sisters.

Mate, I don't know why, but this song reminds me of my mum she was the strongest, most honest, bravehearted hard working woman I have ever known she raised us 5 boys to be the good men we are today she recently died in a horrible car accident aged 70 but she'll always have a special place in my heart and I'm proud to be her son

You know why. Your mom sounds just like my mom. Strong, independent, caring of others, her family above all else. My mom 5' 2" and a force of nature. First to protect my sister and I. Also first to teach us us right and wrong. Lost her 36 years ago. She was only 40.

I'm very pleased to see you honoring the skaldic traditions of my ancestors. What a wonderful rendition of this beautiful song. I was fortunate enough to encounter Wyndreth at an SCA event some years ago when I still did such things, when I battled for the hearts of fair maidens with weapons made of rattan rather than the live steel we use in living history reenactment.
