@@larry2281they’re better than the duck foot print but the colors are just weird. They should go back to the OG jerseys. Surprised they didn’t take Demidov even more surprised they didn’t take Fantilli. Ducks always seem to shock people with their picks.

The ducks have a smattering of good prospects but they're randomly selected and Verbeek is not building a team, he's building a group of individuals. One of the worst gms in hockey.

Pacific Division will be interesting in the next 5 years. It's too bad my team by then will be in a decline. At this moment, my team is fortunate to make the playoffs and got bounced 3x times in the first round by the same team. 😅

People are also forgetting that some teams dont pick based off stats some draft you cause of your play and attitude and commitment to the team some of these Russians can be on a high horse before actually playing hockey in the NHL.

They asked other teams if they were interested in this player, they thought another team would pick him early in the draft, they tried to tade down but the asking price was too high, they really wanted him so they picked him at No.3 It's that simple, obviously these people did their job it's not like in video games, by the way Detroit did the same with Moritz Seider and I don't think they regret anything

The Anaheim ducks won't be able to protect more defenseman an upcoming expansion drafts that are projected in the next 3 to 5 years. The ducks really needed help on the right wing. They should have traded down, and I'm curious why they didn't go after demidov but beyond that, this player makes sense.

Other teams were reported more interested than the mock drafts projected he'd go. Anaheim had their eyes set on him and decided to play it safe by pulling the trigger rather than take a chance with a trade down. The asking price from Anaheim could've also been too high, so you never truly know. Off the wall picks like this tend to go big or bust, so we'll see how it goes 5 years from now.
