Opposite of smooth. It's Melodic, forceful, hard, gritty, dirty, heavy. It's like modern trance smashed into freestyle jazz/improvisation.. And 7:40 it falls into a softer drab, pseudo-repetitive drone which reminds me a lot of Rush's "By-Tor and the Snow Dog" which is extremely mesmerizing until falling into even heavier dragging weight. It gets sludgier than the heaviest sludge metal. Strong finish.

It's quite the luxury to have forgotten how cruel nature is. A three legged wolf (suggesting a leg that has been chewed off by itself or another animal) reminds me how there is no mercy in the natural world. It's just chaos. This song sounds to me like it could be set to the events leading to this creature experiencing this trauma. Terrifying shit.

The 4 notes at 8:37 are a musical interpretation of the Tetragrammaton 'YHWH'. The name of this song almost sounds like a spell, "Too see more Light" because listening to it opens you to a higher plane of consciousness, the divine light of Deity. It sounds both beautiful and terrifying because you can't be sure what you are hearing, only that you are experiencing it. I type this on Rosh Hashanah, because Colin Stetson's music reminds me of the blaring of a shofar, I really think he's got some kind of divine inspiration behind his music, I'm always drawn to listening to it. Glad other people are getting more into him too. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

There is no reverb in this piece, nor the album it belongs to. It's all done through the saxophone + microphones attached to it and the one attached to his neck
