This sequencer update is huge, and exactly what I always wished but never imagined would come to the Rytm Mk2. I used a very similar approach using the Nord Modular, so very happy this is now on the Rytm Mk2. 🖤

Euclidean sequencing is awesome but, for the the love of all things big and small, allow me to use the LFO to control Euclidean parameters. It would be awesome to assign the LFO to one or both of the pulse generators to create some quasi-generative madness.

I don't have a RYTM. I'm guessing you can't modulate those params at all? I assume you can't paramlock the params of the euclidean sequencer from the trigs it generates because that could cause a feedback loop somehow? Orrrr is this possible? Because if you could modulate it with the LFO, then you could theoretically Plock the lfo params that point to the euclidean sequencer, which is again another feedback loop. Or maybe it's all badass and just not implemented yet. It's almost like the plocks would have to have their own track and the euclidean events that come out would all 'hold' the value of whatever the latest trig was. I could just see users complaining that their plock data got lost somehow (since the schema/array-length of attributes stored juggles around - just like how "shuffle" doesn't actually create another triplet out of nowhere, just shifts some events over to emulate a silent 3rd note, instead of creating info arbitrarily...) if anyone could strategize approaches to this, it's elektron, but they'd need people to think about creative suggestions to help bounce ideas, to avoid dropping stuff that just confuses or misleads the audience... but this LFO euclidean stuff sounds futuristic asf

Wow, wow wow. Everything I’ve been looking for in a drum machine that I was getting frustrated the excellent Rytm didn’t have. Been looking at adding a T1 Torso but no need at the moment with this. Great products and upgrades!!!

I've been asking for Random LFO Slew (I even suggested using SPH for slew because random doesn't have phase) and save parameter lock as a sound on the Digi boxes for ever! Hoping they can come down now 🙂 Page playback! Euclidean seq, holy hell these are incredible!

Hey Elektron, after massive usage. this FW update is such a top product. The Rytm was actually perfect and finished, not like other gear from other companies, and you guys gave the machine a new personality for free. I would have paid 100$ for such an update.

To make a lil understandable the Euclidean mode : > XOR's are essentially gates where the analog signal / impulse pass through > XOR's other then to be a gate is an operator too which execute a certain algorithm to the processed signal / impulses / data > Booleans are huge topic in computer since to get it short.. Boolean get be TRUE OR FASLE > Euclidean mode which is based on XOR & SUB operators in short based on the constant and variable of the eucaledian function when you change the impluse 1 to a X value or/and change the impulse 2 to a y value the result which can be either true or fale (here the boolean) will generete the patter you see on the sequencer.. Ps this is a very dirty and semplfied explanation... , XOR for example is used in asm/assembly language which usually take a data/bytes and decrypt them whit his algorithm....

Dave mech has a video on this update where he’s explained neither are currently possible. Elektron has attempted to add a second lfo, but I guess they’ve maxed out the rytm’s processing capability.

apparently they tried but couldn't workaround hardware limitations. but they added that they are extremely aware of this request and will continue to try to implement it
