Analysis of Nexgen Energy: When Will They Actually Produce Uranium?

Nexgen Energy is one of the more promising uranium developers in Canada's Athabasca Basin and their Arrow deposit is one of the most economically attractive mining projects ever discovered. With that being said, they are a ways away from having a producing mine and some believe they may not be able to produce in this uranium bull cycle.
Is Nexgen worth your attention and do they live up to the hype or is this one of those "too-good-to-be-true" opportunities?
NOTE: I reference Nexgen's Feasibility Study in this video. Please keep in mind that a Feasibility Study is only an estimate, nothing is certain until a mine moves into production.

I am glad I came across with your posting. Insightful findings. FYI, Brad Wall, one of the directors of NexGen, is the former premier of the province. Permit is issued by the provincial government, which is still his party. Shouldn't be too difficult unless environmental issues.

Balanced views esp wrt jurisdiction risks. And as for NEX’s lack of timeline, it only fuels speculation that they are awaiting a buyout rather than going full on into mine building.

You’re totally right. They NEVER talk about production. Crickets. Very frustrating. I have a feeling this cycle Nexgen will just be a high liquidity story attracting flow of funds, and they know they won’t produce so they won’t speak about it. That said, I’m a shareholder

Yes it is strange they don't at least mention a few scenarios that may play out in regards to either them moving to production or a desire to be acquired in the future, to give us a clearer picture. I think your assessment may be correct, thanks for watching!

@@CommodityCulture I don't follow the company like you, but considering what has been stated about perception of the company, the question I have is; why aren't analysts asking management hard hitting questions about this concern? Are analysts in the hip pocket of management?

@@RedondoBeach2 A lot of analysts are actually hired by the companies to do "independent" analysis. They are of course, free to write what they want but their chances of getting hired again drop dramatically when they start pointing out things like this. Not saying that's the case here, but it happens.

@@CommodityCulture You just described Jim Cramer. He is a puppet for the CEOs of AAPL, NVDA, ADBE, AMD, GE, and CRM, to name a few. He's horribly corrupt. His loyalty is to those who pay him, not his viewers. Many other's on CNBC also behave in similarly immoral ways but to a lesser degree. Najarian was also particularly bad.

When I looked at their presentation a year ago they said 2028 I believe. There is a new process to permitting and apparently it's worse. I worked into the oil industry there and it's 3 year process minimum. Nevermind EPC. 2030 is the minimum before yellow cake is produced.

Nobody knows about the future, be patient, wait your turn, goodness will prevail. I was involved with the proposed sale of TransGas in 2003. It was a stepping stone for a much bigger project. A nuke plant, possibly under SaskPower, in upper NE Sask, feeding Fort McMurray, free up power to sell to the US - WIN WIN. Sask had 58% nuke approval at a time, the highest in Canada. Plant was to be built in the middle of nowhere, 200 people 100 mile radius, bury radio active nuke right in the backyard, no transportation required. The new Party was leading by 7 points. I touched down on election night, some numb skull Maynard Sonntag changed reality for many people, I was one of them. Some remain, some died. The concept has changed slightly but the idea is the same, turn this "have not" province to a West Can Saudi Arabia. It has been 19 years. Another 5 or 10 not gonna hurt anybody's feeling.
