Superb explanation. When we used dataflows to create a report, do we need to enable the schedule refresh to get the new data to report?? If we want refresh the data in every hour what is the method that we can use??

You need premium per user license so that you can refresh max of 48 times per day

Data flow purpose is to avoid transformation per report basis. Instead making transformation only once and can be referred in many reports.

Nice Explanation Nag. In Data preparation we can use ETL tools like SSIS,ADF HERE WE CAN INTEGRATE AND SEND TO THE SEMANTIC LAYER. IN DATAFLOWS ALSO WE CAN DO SAME KIND OF OPEARATIONS OR NOT. WHAT IS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AZURE DATABRIKS VS ADF. IS BOTH ARE ETL TOOLS? MOST OF THE PEOPLE SAID DATABRICKS MUCH BETTER THAN ADF .PEOPLE IKE DATASCIENTIST,DATA ENGINEERS, DATAANALYST WILL USE. WHAT IS THE MAIN ADVANTAGE OF DATABRICKS

Dataflows should be used by organization who don't have the ETL architecture. If you have the Azure Data factory / Azure data bricks then no need to use Dataflows.

HI NAG, IN YOUR OPINIO WHICH IS THE BEST GETTING DATA LIKE BI ARCHITECTURE OR DATA FLOWS .I WANT TO KNOW ON THING U SAID DATA FLOWS IS BEHAVE LIKE A DATA WARE HOUSE & ETL . WHICH TOOL CAN WE USE IN DATA FLOWS TO INEGRATE AND CLEAN THE DATA. WE GETTING DATA FROM DATA FLOWS / DATA SETS CAN WE WRITE DAX MEASURES OR NOT. HERE DATA MODEL TAB IS DISAPPEARING.

It is Simple as that. Go with Dataflow approach if you don't Data warehouse setup and your organisation data is not so huge and second reason is if you have common table which used in multiple datasets, and each dataset you do some transformation. In these two scenarios you can use Dataflows.

Hello, thanks for the explanation, but i am still not getting why do you need dataflows, if you can connect to the different sources from power bi desktop do you ETL prcoesses and then add your calculation before publishing the dataset to the workspace. I am confused about what advantage would dataflows gives me that power bi desktop would not. Thanks in advance

ideally dataflow should be tied to a service account in an organization ... in the event an employees leaves the ETL processes uploaded through PBI desktop may be gone once the user credentials are removed..

I hope you are watching randomly. Follow the playlist which is properly organized. This channel is for professionals not for kids like you. You need to complete primary school in order to attempt for higher secondary. You are directly want to clear higher secondary. Lastly, you still thinking all Indians speak Hindi. That is the knowledge level you have about our country. If you want to learn in regional language learn in Tamil I have separate playlist for it

I have started refering people about pawan lakhwani powerbi tutorial as you can even watch that series and can check how teaching is done Nothing about Hindi and English .
