I believe that from the start, Meghan had no respect for history, tradition or protocol, and was always pushing the envelope, seeing how far she could go, attempting to be on an equal footing with William and Katherine, even though that was totally inappropriate. She is an example of Americans who travel to the UK and then do nothing but complain about how different it is from the US, instead of respecting their customs and traditions. When you go to another country, you should show respect for their customs and traditions. I would be trying to learn all I could about how to act, and what NOT to do, so I would not make a misstep and the family would be proud of me for adapting - or at least trying to, instead of just barging in and doing it her way.

I remember watching this right after it happened. It was like watching two adults (William and Catherine) and two children (Harry and Meghan). This was the Windsor walkabout after the queen's funeral and Meghan was VERY nervous, because she had spent the last two years trashing the royal family and she was forced to face these people who didn't like her and she knew it. Plus, W&C had already become the Prince and Princess of Wales, so they had now all the power. In fact, initially Meghan and Harry didn't have to accompany them, they had planned something else, but William insisted because he didn't want his brother and sister-in-law to make the queen's death a show for Netflix.

Look how slowly Meghan moves towards the other three. It’s so she can make sure the paps get a good shot of her. It also allows her to look like she’s an innocent victim all alone on the outside. The constant hand holding is not appropriate when they are there to honour the Queen. William was so classy here even though he can’t stand her.
