Vernon is an enigma. Some times he just seems to be completely gone and removed from the rest of the group but other times he’s very clearly the center for attention and the most energetic. Bottom line: he is just always himself and he will not play to the camera unless it’s for a bit and completely obvious. Like in this case: he was told to chill so he did. But let it be known that he is as big a part of seventeen as the rest!

Seventeen having fun by themselves is extremely entertaining to watch because it feels like you’re just watching a group of guys enjoying each other’s company. In a way it feels like you’re there with them. Some of the most honest on camera idols I’ve seen until now.

We all know that DK is the loving member but it's hilarious how like 99% of the stories they've told us about members fighting involve DK as one of the main subjects lmao

Good take on Hoshi and it’s something I’ve noticed as well. He demands attention on stage and he’s often loud and entertaining but there are also moments when you see him quiet, contemplative, and more subdue. There was an interview with a Japanese translator (Furuya-san), who’s been working with Seventeen in the last few years, he was asked which member he’d date he said Hoshi because “I like Hoshi so much. His character is so bright and (he is) a moodmaker but when he’s alone, I think he has a lot of thoughts to himself. I think the brightness is balanced with his inner (hidden) thoughts well.” I think that sums up Hoshi’s personalities pretty well.

You're right about Hoshi and Jeonghan's personalities :) Hoshi does has lots of thought and serious types in daily life, he's still very silly but yeah, not too lunatic LOL and Jeonghan, he does looks like a prankster and joke around all the time but other members said that he is the team's emotional support. Jeonghan notices right away when someone acting kinda off, and approach them personally. So yeah, all members have their soft spot for Jeonghan for sure. I love that you pointed out the fact that they have multiple leaders in SVT in so many way. Official leaders are Scoups, Hoshi, Woozi, they divide their jobs as : Hoshi is the one has highest voice in practice room, Woozi is in charge of recording room and Scoups is dealing with company. And yeah, beside that, they do listen to Seungkwan and Dino as well. They really speak out their minds and help lead the team.Mingyu as well, he has the strong personality, he plays a big role on their renewal contract. I think I need to tell you about this to help a better understanding, because SVT talked about the renewal contract process in so many different videos so it's hard to recommend just one video for you to watch. So basically, SVT said that they were all believe that all the members will resign the contract, so they didn't talk about it and still work and practice normally, because it's awkward to talk about money with the people you're very close with. But Mingyu didn't want to challenge their trust on each other. He brought the topic up very often, actively expressed how beautiful they are together, how much they love each other and they should hold hands to make their wish come true. So, the boys sat down and made their own strategy to prevent other people will split them up. They went to every meeting together, even when the company ask to meet personally, to make sure they won't hear the story of their own members from another people's words. Prevent misunderstanding :)) And fought for each member's rights in each contract. They said that some members are on the quiet side (like Wonu, Jun, Joshua..), they won't try to "bargain" (not the right word LOL, but you can understand the concept) or negotiate even though they think they deserve more. But Mingyu is very stubborn with that LOL He knows how much SVT's worth and state his words fiercely and stand for his members. Of course he didn't do it alone, Scoups Hoshi Woozi are always there from the beginning. They are like the foundation of SVT, very very reliable and super fierce!!! That's why it takes them 9 months to finish the renewal process. They said it was so tiring, they understood deeply why people want to quit this job, if you decide to quit, it will just take a few weeks, but they fought to continue walking together for 9 months straight. Hearing that story from them, I cannot feel more thankful that they are so united and have strong personalities in the group. Their relationship grew deeper after that process as well :))

Seventeen are not only absolute geniuses at their job but their just so comforting and warm in their existence Just watching them like this, not even doing anything special, is such a relaxing experience Also I just love their dynamic, they clearly really enjoy spending time together but are also so real in the way that they’ve said that they don’t always all get along, which is bound to happen with a group of 13 guys, and I love that they keep it real with their fans

Seungkwan has become such a master at being a entertainer over the years, because he had to go on a lot of variety shows to promote himself and his group before they became such a success!!

There's another side to Hoshi tho as performance leader, bc he's a perfectionist he gets a lil scary apparently which is hard to imagine. It's one of the reasons all the other units wouldn't wanna be in the performance team, not only is it physically extremely exhausting but sometimes during busy periods tensions run high and another interesting fact that sounds unbelievable is that Jun and Hoshi fight the most (due to work, bc they're both really serious and perfectionist about it), Seungkwan and Scoups mentioned it a few months ago but said not to misunderstand bc it's for good reason.

Everything you said is quite true! And when you talked about when Jeonghan talks, everyone listens, it is quite true! Especially in GoSe, he always has this mischievous and cunning side, always wanting to add spice to everything, but Jeonghan is deeply loved and respected by the members, as they mostly turn to him especially in terms of emotional support. He is their emotional pillar and he's extremely empathetic and caring towards the other members, being a caring and reliable older brother to them. There are even episodes in Gose where you can see where they would sometimes look or seek out for his approval or support (The Bungee Jump episode is a good example, with how DK asked him to accompany him up at the platfotm. Another example is in Going Seventeen: Ad Genius, Jeonghan would help with Joshua in one skit, Seungkwan would discuss his ideas for the skit to Jeonghan. Another is in the Going Seventeen: GOING Radio Show #2, when Mingyu and his team there didn't know how to proceed with an advise, and when Jeonghan started to talk, everyone at that table had their full attention to Jeonghan.) I also noticed in some episodes that whenever Jun speaks out his mind, Jeonghan would always say "Clap!" after Jun spoke and everyone would follow suit and applaud Jun for speaking. In the Carnival episode, when Joshua was losing confidence on how to proceed with the flow of the episode, Jeonghan encouraged him and said that he's doing great. Jeonghan really dotes on the members. Oh and in the TTT 2019 Camping ver too! There's a portion in the last episode for that TTT wherein they had a heartwarming talk about their team, and S.Coups and Hoshi shared how Jeonghan really thinks of the team a lot and how he only has the members. This really shows how Jeonghan deeply cares and love his members, and how the members know and how they respect him a lot!

Seungkwan is actually super athletic and good, or at least decent, at all ball games (badminton, volleyball, basketball, football/soccer etc....)

loved this!! seventeen definitely is my favorite kpop group, mainly because of how authentic they are. they’re such great performers yet so humble, it’s very inspiring!

I may started liking seventeen because of their music but the way they have fun and care for each other is just so incredible. We can still relate to them by how they interact and still be entertained. Seventeen is just the whole package. ❤

Scoops is the leader of the group as a whole and the hip hop team, Woozi is the leader of the vocal unit and the main producer, and Hoshi is the leader of the performance team as well as their performances in general. Plus you have Jeonghan who’s the second oldest and a natural leader on his own. Also DK is the leader of the subunit BSS which is DK Seungkwan and Hoshi.

Yes, jeonghan is really THAT hyung.... It's also because the members said at one of.their past interviews, he's the one who loves the group the most, and he literally takes time to talk to the quieter members one-on-one about their worries..and he checks on them constantly if they're okay (jun said this).

Thank you for continuing to react to Seventeen. I truly believe they have the best chemistry of any group and I literally love so many groups. You have such a good understanding of each of the members like them having many leaders depending on the activity, DK is addicted to fun, Dino and Seungkwan being comfortable speaking out, Hoshi is the life of the party until he can’t party anymore because he gives so much of himself all the time, and everyone definitely pays attention when Jeonghan speaks. I would even go as far as to say Scoups leads Seventeen as a whole but Jeonghan leads the members. I laughed when you said he is the serious dad of the group because he’s called the mom and literally lets the members get away with everything because of his own jokester personality. But he definitely can be serious at times. And DK and Jeonghan go hard at teasing one another because they love each other so much. I think DK takes every opportunity to dish it out to Jeonghan because he has lived under Jeonghan’s reign of teasing for so long. But Jeonghan isn’t like that to everyone because he knows some members don’t like it. He has quite a deep understanding of each member hence why they did the 1 million Won episode with him as the protagonist. I can go on and on about Jeonghan as he is my ult bias because of these reasons but his high EQ has been a great support to everyone as their emotional support hyung. They are such a special group who I believe will be friends for the rest of their life.

I can tell you're so knowledgeable and good at what you do! seventeen are the perfect subjects to analyze communication styles. so many unique personalities and one of a kind people in one group that's been together for 10 years ☹ they're truly like brothers and I love learning new things about them through your analysis in these vids

In Seventeen you don't only have leaders personality-wise but also formally, Hoshi is a leader (performance team), Dk is a Leader (BSS), scoups is a leader (general Seventeen and hip hop unit), and woozi is a leader (vocal unit), so they have this energy maybe not naturally, but developed because they needed it to command the parts of the group, like I feel woozi is someone who developed a leadership skill because he needed it vs Seungkwan who is naturally a leader, even if it's not his position within the group Also please watch more lesserafim content, the girls are so funny, and you get really interesting dynamics with the age difference between the members, I recommend their Day Off content, it's right after their debut promotions end and you can see the girls interact with eachother rather than isolated like in their presentation video

loved this!!!! i’m glad you’re enjoying seventeen so far; they have some of my favorite variety content in kpop because they possess such a seamless dynamic as you said, and they have a lot of natural entertainers in the group! you’re so spot on about all the members but i especially loved your description of dk!! he’s really one of the most warm-hearted idols i know of, and his kindness has been emphasized by the members several times. i thought it was really funny how he took multiple stabs at jeonghan here; the two of them are actually one of the closest duos in the group(they’d been tour roommates for a really long time so they know each other super well). they’re extremely transparent with each other and bicker a lot, so it’s definitely all in good fun.

I really recommend you to watch Seventeen Hit The Road. It's like a short documentary from each member during their concert tour Ode To You (2019-2020) - the duration was only about 10 minutes or a dozen minutes.
