I love the dynamic because they were all friends before becoming a group. Unlike other groups on KZfaq. Tobi and josh grew up together, simon and JJ also went to school together. 4 of them lived together for years before ‘content houses’ were a thing and you can tell they are all genuinely friends and have a different relationship with each person.

16:41 i think this is a perfect way to describe Tobi- like he's consistently been Vik's biggest supporter in their football videos and in the videos where they buy each other gifts, whereas some get shitty gifts for the jokes and they seemingly have everything anyway, Tobi still always gets thoughtful gifts the others are genuinely happy with. Generally just seems like a guy who's really in your corner

Simon is my personal favorite, he is very chill but also the wittiest out of the group. Great reaction! By the way, it might ruin the video but they actually encouraged each other to have an ego and be competitive in this video, as the content is always first for them. If they were all humble it would just make for a boring video. Also, JJ def does the Rated R the most. Tobi is definitely the nicest. Also; JJ and Simon went to school together Josh and Tobi went to school together Harry and Ethan are like best friends from what I have heard and just seen from the videos and Vik does his own thing

Tobi and Josh grew up together. Simon and JJ grew up together. Ethan was a fan of Josh. Tobi, Josh, Simon, Vik, and JJ formed sidemen then Ethan joined, then they all basically adopted Harry cause he was really young and was going down a path they didn’t like. And then boom, we have the sidemen ❤

Simon and JJ are especially close friends. Afaik, they have the closest friend bond in the Sidemen and were housemates for a long time. Tobi is the only one of these guys who is actively religious. He’s known to be extremely ethical and charitable. Harry seems to struggle quite a bit with his self esteem, but his life is getting better and all the guys are there for him.

If you want to study the relationship of the sidemen in a whole, it's hard to stop with just them. There are arguably another inner circle called 'the sidemen of sidemen', consists of people like Freezy, Callux, Randy, Chris, Stephen Tries, and some others. They are not just business partners, they are genuine friends.

If you want to see what they’re like one on one or in smaller groups I’d recommend their race across countries videos, they’re usual in smaller teams so you get different dynamics based on who’s on what teams

You should react to how the sidemen met. Good insight to how they all become friends and a good video as they all sit and chat and debate how they became friends

I'm a big sidemen fan and their appeal is simply their personalities and their genuine friendship, that alone is fun to watch and makes you like them it's similar to bts, in a way, they can be having drinks together, or playing a stupid game, but because they're all likeable people and their dynamics is genuine and funny, it makes it really entertaining

14:45 KSI and Miniminter (Simon) have known each other since they were kids (fom schools), Josh and Tobi have known each other since they were kids as well, The four got together around 2010-2013, thats when Ethan and Vik come in the picture. And Harry joined the friend group in 2014. So all of them have know eachother for a good decade and simon and Jj and Tobi and Josh for almost 20 years. They made a video talking about how they all came together and talked about how the early days were like. The video is called HOW THE SIDEMEN MET. Or you can react to an amazing video on youtube where a guy made a video about he sidemen called: How the sidemen built a 100 milion dollar empire. A great video to react to.

Damn, spot on for basically all of this in my opinion, especially about Tobi. The weird thing about Simon is that when I first started watching a couple months ago, I couldn't for the life of me figure out who he was closest too. Like even within a group of people, there are gonna be closer bonds and easier connections made with a few people. But Simon, he just easily gets along with every single one of them so well, that they could all be his best friend.

for duo dynamics, the benidorm pub golf video is good at showing duos within a group and things like the abandoned challenges and a-z challenges are good at showing duos/smaller groups when separate from the others

As a long time viewer of the Sidemen I can tell you that you’ve been spot on so far. Jj (ksi) - is the most successful and clouted as the would say. Josh - is the dad of the group and deals with all of the business side of the group. Simon- has know jj for 18yrs (met in 7th grade) he’s very blunt and very work driven. Vik - is second after Josh when it comes to analytics but he’s grown a lot over the past 10 yrs to speak up more and be more confident. Tobi- is the Christian very religious very quiet and very humble. He and Josh went to school together and met each other in 7th grade as well. Ethan- had the lowest self esteem almost killing himself at one point. You should watch his documentary “being behzinga”. Harry - is somewhat autistic very aware has major social anxiety and is only his true self around his small circle of friends called the troops. They all have a group chat which has 10 of them in that chat. Overall with his massive fame the boys all make sure tha ksi stays grounded and doesn’t get caught up in the fame. They humble him quiet a lot. Your observation is spot on. These are a group of 7 friends that love each other authentically and supports each other and pushes each other to be the best version of themselves. Great job with your observations. The sidemen are truly brothers that love each other thru and thru. As a side note you were correct in your other video. Jj does speak directly to his audience quiet a lot. Even while he’s touring he always makes sure to prioritize KZfaq because that’s where it all started for him. Hope this helps but amazing work

It's interesting that you mentioned it, all of them actually take turns with organizing videos, so non of them are excluded. There's no leader per se. I would say years ago Vik used to be the butt of the joke, and some people would call it mean, but you can see they all care for each other a lot. Yes, Tobi is the sweetest. Simon is chill. When it comes to duos, Simon and KSI have been friends since (middle?) school. And I obviously don't know them personally, but I would say Ethan and Harry are pretty close too because of their humor and dynamic. As always, great video, I love watching these. I would recommend checking out Beta Squad, they're also a group of British youtubers (friends with Sidemen too actually) !

Trust me, they all go there when it comes to sexual stuff at some points haha. I'd love to see you even react to the 'Do they all agree with each other video's. They work so well because there is no leader really. They are all good friends but Tobi and Josh went to school together and so did JJ and Simon. Tobi is deffo the sweetest. They've been the Sidemen for nearly 10 years now and I've been following JJ for around 12 years and the Sidemen since the beginning so I've grown up watching them. They are very honest and funny and their dynamic is so different to other KZfaqrs and I think they're even more likeable because you can relate to them all in ways. I love these guys💙
