The level of patience Magnus possessed at this point is beyond my comprehension.Not to mention that he held his own against the might Karpov the God of diversion . Simply looking at the game there are many instances where I would have rushed things or got materialistic and mess the position up . Magnus will go down in history as a legend no 🧢

@@jmadratz а Фишер вошёл в историю как случайный чемпион мира, который один раз нелепо получил титул, а после дрожал и боялся его потерять. Фишер отлично понимал, что он случайный чемпион и любой претендент легко и просто заберёт корону. Потому он всеми силами увиливал от любых предложений. А когда претендентом стал Анатолий Карпов, то Фишер совсем потерял совесть и стал судорожно умолять, чтобы претендент для победы побеждал как минимум в два очка, а ему чемпиону достаточно сыграть в ничью или даже проиграть в одно очко, чтобы остаться чемпионом)) Конечно никто не его мольбу не откликнулся и у Фишера с позором отобрали корону)) Магнус хотя бы не случайный чемпион, а Фишер явно трусишка. Всем добра

@@scroogekvadmcduck2scroogek764если Фишер стал случайно чемпионом, то как он тогда всех гроссмейстеров сильнейших обыгрывал? Он Спасского смог выйграть. Т.е отобрать у него корону, но после блестящей победы, у Фишера начались проблемы с психическим здоровьем, он не знал, а что дальше делать? И просто потерял мотивацию, у него если честно с подросткового возраста начались проблемы с психикой, если Вы читали его биографию и смотрели фильм, то должны знать, что он тратил на шахматы 10-20 часов, это слишком много, поэтому он с ума сошел, ну начались проблемы с психикой, но он был гением, его все признали. Так что это не случайно, что он стал чемпионом мира, т.к он же побил рекорд мировой, став гроссмейстером в 15 лет. Вы думаете это случайно?

To get 2 center pawns -- gaining center is important as per books. But here Carlsen utilized that as an open portal to bring in his army against Karpov.

Karpov had a draw with Qd8+.. Kh7.. Qh4+..Kg8 ..Qd8+. Instead he enters a rook endgame with a pawn less. Doubtful to say the least! Perhaps he was offered additional motivation?🎅

Because the pawn was going to promote and he could not do anything to avoid. Look at his last move. The rook was multifunctional in that Cell. It prevented the opposite King to get close to the pawn and also allowed its King to get close to the pawn since the rook would Block any checks

Black will just play Ke2, Kd1, and then pawn to c1=Queen, and black cannot stop this procedure. The black rook cannot leave the C file, and the white king is shielded from a check on the d-file by the rook on D2.

Well this was NOT this event it happened 3 years earlier. Checking the picture at the beginning it is clearly seen that Magnus is much younger than a 16-17 years old boy.
