@@tamirerez2547 definitely there is a positional advantage , But the position of rook you see is so passive , it's equivalent to a pawn That's why I said material advantage

Yes, why did Tal resign here? He stands a fair chance at winning and a very good chance at drawing on this game. Anybody know his rationale?

It's a wrong game..Actually tal played white in Brussels 1987 blitz game..this is inappropriate

@@Chess-Mates No, pal. Stockfish 14 from Lichess yields -0,3 when Tal resigned. That is roughly equal

@@Chess-Mates Absolutely not,the position is basically equal but white has zero chances of losing so the only potential chances for a win lie with white ,but this must have been a blitz game because it was such low quality for 2 greats of the game.Karpov blundered the exchange, just simply left his rook hanging and played kg2,the reason why the game ended is probably because Tal lost on time,there is no other explanation.
