Objectives: After completion of this video session it is expected that the students will be able to understand and demonstrate the:
Duodenum: Topography. Peritoneal relations. Parts
Features and relations of the first part of the duodenum
The second part of the duodenum: relations, major and minor duodenal papillae (location and ducts opening through).
Relations of the third part of the duodenum
Mesentery of the small intestine: Contents.
Differences between jejunum and ileum.
Superior mesenteric artery: origin and course.

The ileum is the longest part of the small intestine. While the duodenum is 25 cm in length, the rest of the small intestine is about 6 meters of which the jejunum constitutes 2/5 and the ileum 3/5.

Thanks for the advice, but I use this lab coat for dissection purposes only. Regarding the gloves, there is no need for wearing double gloves, a single glove will do at least aesthetically. Note that the embalming fluid renders the cadaver aseptic.

bless ya so much hard work to become an dr I'm sure in end your get there i hope one day to help teach medical students as one of there body donors as I'm thermally ill young man so decided to give consent to body donation in hope to help teach medical students Anatomy i wish all well in there studies and pray you carry on to become great dr take care

@@akram.jaffar HI your very welcome being only young at 38 and having an stage 4 glioma brain stem tumour and sum spread of cancer within my body medical students are welcome to have my body after death as to help them to learn anatomy from it hands on study best and think could be interesting for students to effects first hand this has had on my body hope they can learn something from my body

Thank you very much for doing this! I have always wondered what stops the small intestines from getting tangled into knots, and I can see here the blood vessels which hold them all in place in sheets, something that is not usually shown on models. Thanks!
