I must say I was massively underestimating knees, I was almost skipping this lesson. However, I decided to stay and now I think knees are one of the most incredible things, I literally learned how to shape legs because of the shape of knees. Thank you so much, these videos have been helping a lot!

Dude, you are amazing at drawing and teaching. I love your tutorials and the subjects of the lessons are well chosen. Very helpful. I ACTUALLY LEARN by watching your tutorials, not just watch an artist make amazing paintings. Your tips can be implemented for real.

Apex is a great term, so multi-functional. Its a term used in fashion and pattern drafting. Great for discerning where the bust point/apex is in the torso or (Nipples) in art.

this is very good, and it's important to focus on these structures as they are the underpinnings that create the behavior, but the nobs and whatnot are severely reduced or even totally non-apparent in characters who aren't in shape, and I don't just mean overweight. I feel like you only see features this drastic in people who do strenuous physical excersizes with the knee. There are also some very (extremely) minor generalized differences between genders and their knees that wasn't covered at all. The knees all looked pretty masculine to me. They looked like runners legs, which is probably the primary reference model with the most distinct features that Sinix really took to when he was learning anatomy, and that's what stuck.

I just stumbled onto this video. I am using this as a refresher coarse on life drawing. I got too stylized over the years in my drawing and oversimplified. I have been wanting to up the ante on my work and pull away and try new styles like more realism for example. In certain styles like fashion design and types of cartooning they omit a ton of detail and use stylized shapes like the box you were describing. I use a sort of vague boxy skewed diamond with a shin line in mine. I guess when reading that out that may sound weird but its as close as I can think to describe it.

Initialy the study of human anatomy may appear very difficult. It is tru?e that it is complex and your studies wont alter that. As for it being overwhelming, this can be solved if you take your study one step at a time. I discovered an article on Sebs Study Crammer extremely useful for this.
