Islam, Gamrot and Tsarukian all can beat Charles. Charles has beaten the old generation of fighters, this new wrestling, grappling focused fighters are different. They all follow a similar formula to Khabib's.

If it's pure wrestling and good BJJ on Islam's part, Charles likely wouldn't have nay problem. But Islam has 3-4 too many extra tools and assets for the next level BJJ maestro to overcome: superior strength, superior positional control, superior/next level leg Dagestani lockin/leg gripping, and unsurpassed fence using. Standing, contrary to pop culture beliefs and myths, Charles doesn't have an advantage over Islam, either. Charles is much more aggressive and much more reckless, true. But beyond mere assertions, that style, that approach of Charles hasn't produced STATISTICALLY significant results. Islam is a conservative, methodical counter punching Muay Thai guy with elite elbows, knees, and kicks.... similar to Charles own deadly Muay Thai... but Islam's Muay Thai is more fluid, because he also incorporated American boxing upper body/head moments. Further, marching right into a pure striker make him pressured; & pressure make a striking opponent make mistakes, because he needs to strike first and hard and GET OUT of the situation before Charles is close enough to do a good clinch.
