"Love Is God" that's the Message from this Movie................No matter what Religion you are at the End "Love is God" People Worship God in differnt Statue and Forms But personally in their Life doing Cruel by the Name of Same God Like Heroine's Father Character, He is a Strong God Beleiver but he is a Cruel Guy........and also the Whole World full of people are Searching Where is God...? that's why the song Quotes "Everyone is God".... But people don't realise that God is Existed in the Form of Human by showing Love, the same Human Become Devil by Showing Cruel.....Only 2 Prespective how we behave to other's..... The Dog is Responcible For the Accident but instead of showing Cruel Sivam Showed Love.........

Jaby guessed it correctly. It is a biblical journey. It is almost like a guy turns into a god kinda idealogy. Also the title anbe sivam means "god is love". Also the title represents the names of the two main character "Anbarasu" and "Nallasivam", hence Anbe Sivam (Anbu from Anbarasu and Sivam from Nallasivam). Also the movie talks abt capitalist and the communist idealogy which you wld have noticed when reading the subtitles. Also Kamal Haasan wld hav made a lotta predictions. He wld hav mentioned a large wave swept his father and this movie came in the year 2003. The following year we had the IndoAsian Tsunami of 2004. Also you wld predominantly see the colours black and red representing socialism, communism and atheism. This films characters are also inspired from the 1987 movie Planes, Trains and Automobiles. It's a beautiful movie, as I said earlier it's way ahead of time.❤️❤️

@@Sandy-to7oo since a common man turns anything into nice man by showing love automatically equates to God! Jesus shown love despite he was cruelly crucified.. he automatically became god to all. Applies to all religions.. Eg: kannappar to Sivan, they all become God fr their immense love.

Quentin Tarantino who directed the action thriller 'Kill Bill' was highly inspired by the graphics Kamal Hassan used for his much acclaimed film 'Aalavandhan (Abhay in Hindi) .

Dude, ur watching an old film, so tamil cinema has its own way of projecting romantic scenes and that might not work as perfectly as ur Hollywood films. But it does here.. Even the action scenes. So i guess ur mockery doesn't make sense here... Im just imagining what u wud do if u watch Rajinikanth films.

The name of the movie is a play on words of the name of the characters. Madhavan’s name is Anbarasu and Kamal Hassan’s name is Nallasivam.. making the name Anbe Sivam.. which translates to “love is god”. An actual factoid on the movie, Mr.Hassan is a well known atheist and probably has socialistic leanings in his personal philosophy.
