A month in to using the Anbernic RG28XX. Sure it’s not for everyone but I’m glad this one exists.

I'm not sure someone wrote this already but I'm quite sure there is a shader or some kind of overlay pre--enabled, which if disabled, makes those emulators run just fine.

That’s probably true. Although I would argue in the Anbernic side then don’t ship it.

Great and thoughful video, thanks. I agree about the carrying case, and is the reason I didn't order it because I wanted something more pocketable

Thanks so much for the comment. Glad you enjoyed. Yes I think they missed the mark with the case, looks great. Not functional

Awesome video, great to see a fellow UK content creator👍🏾I love the performance on this little thing because it's so small.

Thanks for the comment. Yes not many from the UK out there that’s for sure. This device is great for the size I agree.

Miyoo mini is a good comparison since they have the same screen size but the MM plus is too big for a fair comparison imo, especially when it comes to comfort/"hand feel". that being said, I don't own a RG28XX but i can see it being good for people who want that small size without worrying about breaking an OG miyoo mini with how hard they are to obtain and scalper prices
@thegamelounge65923 күн бұрын
Yes it’s a very personal thing. For me the size difference isn’t that great. The Miyoo Mini plus is still pocketable but it is a bigger device. You are right though this is a great alternative to the original Miyoo Mini. Thanks for taking the time to comment

Hey can anyone help me? The SFC/SNES emulator and roms are all stretched, full screen. I put aspect ratio to 4:3 but it does nothing. I'm using RA. Help! How do I get it to original 4:3? I can't stand playing stretched games, it's not how they were programmed.

Hey, so I don’t know how to do on the standard included OS. But MinUI you simply press the menu button and go to config during gameplay and can switch the ratio

Pease help, I have searched for hours with no solution to what seems to be a simple problem, I have a San Disk SDXC 64GB card, formatted to FAT32, I have an Anbernic RG28XX, I copied the files from stock SD card exactly to the new SD card, however no matter what the anbernic will only turn on with the stock sd card, even though the replacement is correct size, correct format and has exact same data, can anyone help?
@thegamelounge6597 күн бұрын
I think the best thing to do is to get the Anbernic OS image from their website and then use a program like Etcher to install. This will give you the OS with no games. Then copy and existing content from your USB.

I don’t think I’d want a system that didn’t have analogue sticks. Even having only one on the original PSP was frustrating
@thegamelounge65913 күн бұрын
Agree, this is super niche for me, for a specific person that wants really small form factor 16-but gaming with a classic retro feel.
@sandplasma12 күн бұрын
I'm on the other end. I feel like sticks get caught in the pockets. It having a small screen this is really meant for 16bit gameplay. I won't be missing the sticks

That’s great, I feel this device has an audience, it’s not a device I would recommend for all, but if it’s what you are looking for then it’s perfect. So I’m pleased it exists that’s for sure
@Castallan12 күн бұрын
@@sandplasma yeah, that makes sense. Especially if you don’t use that bulky looking case. Truth be told it’s probably all I’d need for retro gaming anyway. I probably wouldn’t play more than 8 & 16bit games

Man this is sick for doom and the screen size makes it part of the fun and I haven't got the best eyesight either will make playing them even harder 😂😂 yes it is a slightly twisted way to look at it but hey ho 😂😂😂

Who this is for: someone who wants a pocketable device and doesn't want to lug around a Backbone/Kishi. I'm so enthused by the looks of this, I'm planning to sell my Retroid Pocket 2S for it. The RP2S is too powerful, too complex (not difficult, just has too many options), and too large. Clarification: I have an RP2S, a Backbone, had a Kishi V2, and I use an iPhone 13 mini.
@thegamelounge65925 күн бұрын
Nice, although I wouldn’t get rid of the RP2S. I think there is room for both in your life 😝
