I got that same Cold Grey 505 and I like everything about it , especially the overall design! Got a 1TB Sandisk Extreme micro sd in mine which is also loaded with video files. I use my 505 also as a portable media player. Every episode of 24th Century Star Trek shows are on my micro sd.

@@paulolucido501 Yes. I updated my 505 to Gamma OS. It works quite well. Now my upcoming 405V I plan to keep the stock firmware on it.

I'm torn if I should get one. Or just wait for the new batch with newer and more powerful chips or just stick with gaming phones. I'm not that obsessed with power since I already had 2 gaming phones. I don't know why but I'm attracted to try one of these retro handhelds for experience. I'll probably get one this Christmas as a a gift for myself.

That would depend on what do you want to emulate and your price point. This is great and has gotten even better with the Gamma OS but it can't do much beyond gamecube. If Wii/PS2/Vita or Switch emulation is your thing then this is not a good choice for you. The thing about consoles like this over gaming phones is that having the controller be part of it makes it far more convenient. Sure you can pair controllers to phones but you have the hassle of 2 parts and its too big to put on your pocket. At that point and with the price of gaming phones and controllers you are squarely into Steam Deck territory both in terms of size and price. (But the Steam Deck has far more performance than the gaming phones.)

i got mine just for psp remote play and some classic gba etc i personally dont like to kill my phone battery or risk screen burn on a $800+ phone lol and if ima pay more then $300 for a handheld might as well just buy a console at that point@@alexisrivera200xable

I just ordered my rgp505 expecting it Monday but I am a little confused on what SD card to buy I don't want to spend money on one that won't work and help me understand this part

I just bought mine on Amazon for $175 it has all the upgrades on it. And I bought the insurance program so it cost me about 200 bucks will be here tomorrow

Had this, then sold it, to me I didn’t like the design, and although quite powerful for the price, loading games was hard, and the experience was not very good, quality has been an issue, and I recently ordered the rg353p for $60 less, and I hope itll be more appealing.

@@binarybleus So far I feel the rg353p has been a better experience, its much more comfortable, but yes much weaker than the rg505, but maybe in the future I’ll pick up an rg405m.
