Warning: Please check your hardware version first! Otherwise flashing wrong firmware can destroy/brick your device.
Currently there are two different hardware versions out there e.g. 6.X/8.XA and 8.XB
The hardware version can be found when you enter the system setup inside the main menu. Once entered there should be the option to display device information.
Steps:
1. Check hardware version (not shown in video)
2. Download and extract firmware update tool
3. Connect scanner using microUSB cable
4. Check for device driver (usually not necessary for Windows 10, if using Windows 7 please install provided drivers which cames with the update tool)
5. Start Update.exe in order to perform firmware update (Please do not disconnect scanner during this process otherwise you will destroy your device)
6. Progress of update can be monitored on device and also inside updater application
7. After the update process finishes you can disconnect the scanner from computer
