Ancestral property owned by the family of the UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman at Assagao has been fraudulently grabbed by unknown persons by forging documents.
The buzz regarding the continuous crackdown on illegal land grabbers by the Special Investigation team and probe into the illegal land grab cases reached to the United Kingdom and alerted a Goa-born UK resident to inquire about his own property.
That U.K. resident is Christie Santano Godfrey Fernandes- Father of newly appointed Home Secretary of the United Kingdom- Suella Braverman.
SIT (land grab) has registered an FIR against unknown accused persons for illegaly grabbing ancestral property belonging to Christie Santano Godfrey Fernandes at Assagao.
FIR is registered after Christie Santano Godfrey Fernandes lodged a complaint with DGP and also forwarded it to Chief Minister and NRI Commissioner.
Christie Santano Godfrey Fernandes in his communication has praised the work of SIT and has stated that he was alerted after coming to know about the formation of SIT and the continuous exposure of illegal land grab cases and arrests of accused land grabbers.
SIT has initiated an investigation into it.

It is Goans who are involved in it too.We too lost loot of property since my dad had to work abroad for leaving. He fought for 10 year’s and to no avail he gave up his life. Indian rules are corrupted and you had to bribe someone all the time. I am glad all the world is coming to know how corrupt Indians are. There are lot of people who lost land especially in Goa and we are one of those.
