Bejeezus you are right about the middle eastern. Honduras and El Salvador recieved a large wave of Christian Arabs at the start of 1900s and continued during the century after the fall of the Ottoman Empire and other civil wars in Palestine Territory and from what is now called Syria, Lebanon which where territories created by the U.N. Brits and U.S. Im from Honduras and my great grandmother came from Bethelem, Palestine in the early 1900s. In El Salvador the current San Salvador Mayor Neyib Bukele is of Arab Descent from his fathers side. Just in Honduras there is at least a community of 250,000 to 400,000 arab descendents. Im not so sure about in El Salvador.

Salvadoreña by blood, would love to check my ancestry! My great grandfather was half Italian/Greek and hence our family has Italian surname ever since arriving to El Salvador. My other half of family were very "Spanish" with their blue/green eyes, blonde hair, fair, wealthy property owners back in the day. Would love to know how much native I have too, so cool!
