The Ancient Fuelweaver is the final Don't Starve Together boss, normally you are supposed to fight him in a group, but this video covers how to defeat him solo, and the method also works as a group. The Ancient Fuelweaver is fought after the Shadow Pieces, and Ancient Guardian, at the heart of the Atrium of the ruins.

The Ancient Fuelweaver - the current final boss - this guide covers the most efficient Fuelweaver method, this boss is always easier in a group and with this method that is no different - but this guide will be covering the gear you need to do it solo - if you do it in a group you will need less gear overall.
Before we get into this - if you are following this guide as a solo player know that the battle is extremely dangerous, as it is designed for multiple players at once. Have a revive ready near your base and nearby to the Fuelweaver. With this method though he is still possible to complete with minimal gear if you are an experienced player.
To start off, to start the fuelweaver battle you will need to gather the Shadow Atrium - obtained by killing the shadow pieces, 8 fossil pieces which are obtained by mining stalagmites sometimes and guaranteed from spilagmites, and the ancient key - obtained by killing the Ancient Guardian. You will also need to be located at the Ancient Gateway at the heart of the atrium, which can be discovered by killing giant tentacles located all throughout the caves and jumping through the holes they leave, one of these will transport you to the atrium. You then have to run through the maze to get to the end, watch out for clockworks, spiders, and the sanity pillars - you will want to have high sanity and a nightmare amulet to pass these.
For battle gear at minimum, you will want a lazy explorer, ideally 2, a magiluminescence amulet for speed, sanity bonus, and ease of hotkey swapping, a full freshness hambat or 3 darkswords, a nightmare amulet so you can kill the six unseen hands, a ton of hunger and healing food, and an absurd amount of sanity healing items - if you ever let your sanity drop to insane the Fuelweaver will be able to stun you and get free hits in. You will also want a hammer, as there is a chance the fossil will not be put together correctly, in which case you simply smash it and rebuild it.
There are two things you need to know before the battle section. The Ancient Fuelweaver has two types of minions, Woven Shadows, and Unseen Hands.
Unseen Hands can only be killed while insane, you will need to quickly equip your nightmare amulet, kill it, then unequip the amulet to avoid being stunned by the Fuelweaver's mind control.
Woven Shadows are healing minions, they crawl towards the Fuelweaver and when the Fuelweaver comes too close to them, he will stop and eat them. Each one he eats heals him an absurd 400 hp, and he can heal to full just off eating these if you mess up. Doing this boss solo is difficult due to this DPS threshold introduced by these Woven Shadows, but can still be done.
Last thing before the battle: I highly recommend that you practice this fight first, especially if you aren't playing Wolfgang. If you mess up as a normal character while fighting this boss solo it is almost certain that you will meet your end.
To start the battle, put the Ancient key in the Ancient Gateway, this will start a permanent nightmare phase in the atrium and light up the arena with the Fuelweaver - it will also block off your exit unless you teleport out. Then build the fossil - this is the correct build. While building you will only want to place 7 pieces before judging whether or not the fossil that is being built is correct - if it is not, simply hammer it and restart, if it is, place the final piece. If you mess up and build the full skeleton of the wrong version, it only yields 1-8 pieces when breaking it, instead of the full amount, meaning you will likely not be able to start the fight. After building the skeleton, put the Shadow Atrium in the skeleton, and the fight will immediately begin.
