Dr. Ammon Hillman earned his MS in Bacteriology and Ph.D. in Classics from the University of Wisconsin Madison, where he specialized in Ancient Greek and Roman medicine and pharmacy. His
first book, The Chemical Muse, was published with St. Martin’s Press immediately after his dissertation committee forced him to delete all references to recreational drugs from his thesis. Dr. Hillman was recently investigated by the Vatican for demon possession and portal opening while teaching as a professor of Classical Languages.

I don't know how you can have a conversation without understanding the context of what is being discussed, he was trying to explain certain terms and words so the listener could understand the definition and follow. maybe that's why in the beginning Danny said he is still trying to process it. I feel Ammon was trying to be respectful but should have spoken up about what he was trying to explain. I kept wanting him to go deeper, it's like getting ready to have sex then someone's banging on your front door lol.
@throgwarhammer7162
@throgwarhammer7162 22 күн бұрын
@@jeepguylv80, sometimes during conversations, especially ones like this in which an expert has a ton to say about something, you have to let said expert just talk for a minute and wait to ask the clarifying questions. That's how the good stuff gets out. In my opinion, Danny was far too quick to interrupt and ask about some detail or definition; plus, he often ran with that follow-on question instead of getting back to where the conversation left off, so you're right; we ended up with blue balls over the best nuggets of information then never reached the climax. Since watching this video, I've gone down a rabbit hole of interviews with Dr. Hillman. There are several out there that make a lot more sense because the interviewer allows him to actually finish a thought (and there's no ridiculous self censorship to ruin the experience). I'm surprised I made it through this video despite all the bleeping. It was tough to do, but Dr. Hillman was interesting enough for me to struggle through it.

Everyone here is bagging on the interviewer, however you can see in plain sight that his subject does not feel disrespected. My take is that he had seen the guy’s brilliance and at the same time knew that in order to make it palatable in a podcast format, he would need to reign it in and I bet Mr Hillman is aware of his own tendencies and grateful to have an interviewer who understands how to create structure.

OMG, seriously? I really wanted to hear the guest speak and the interviewer clearly had no ability to let the guest speak. @MiamiMorslav
@MiamiMorslav Күн бұрын
Yeah, seriously. The guy is on stream of consciousness, if he hadnt been re directed you would have heard him go from one subject to another anyway! Of course they are connected, in his head, and no disrespect when I say this because there are a lot of brilliant people who do this but the whole point of an interview is direction. Otherwise, you could find yourself a really interesting person to listen to flow a stream of consciousness on your local street corner.

@@BigJakeVet I’m not religious, but I have had very real non drug induced interactions with orbs that manifest themselves, for some reason always religious entities. One was where I kept seeing a blue and red orb at my grandparents house who were very religious. One day I walked into the kitchen and the orbs were over a Jesus like figure that was sitting down at the table and started talking to me. There was also a red dragon like lady walking back and forth by the sink. She turned to me and looked me straight in the eyes and I could feel my blood boiling. I screamed at the Jesus figure asking him to make her stop and he handed me lifesaver mints that were on the table and gave me some words of advice. Much more happened, but since that day I’ve be trying to understand why I saw Jesus with a red dragon like lady. Sounds crazy as you know what when said out loud. The world is full of unexplainable things. When he comes back if you see him tell him I said hi.

If you are a lover of the Master Jesus, if you are a devoted Christian and Jesus is your home, do not let this scholarly revelation derail you from your faith. Our lives are made up of what we believe is true, what we focus on, how we choose to speak and act. Do not give over the sovereignty of your free will to this academic rhetoric. I think they get along very well in this interview the mental prowess of Amon Hillman is obvious compared to lots of people not just the interviewer the interviewer is a curious man young and curious which makes him intelligent as well just not as passionate about Greek as Hillman he is passionate about other important things so he has Hillman on his show that shows great intuition and insight and a thirst for discovery and possibly a force to change the future of how people view religions in general. I think these two are a perfect match there's good camaraderie here I don't see the degree of stupidity that some people think the interviewer has he has him on his show for crying out loud? He's an intelligent young man very curious smart enough to put on a show like this and get the word out come on give him a little credit he's also helping us out by getting those mushrooms and herbs Danny has other interesting people on his show I got to admit I've watched this interview already almost 10 times since I found it yesterday I cannot get enough of Hillman I anticipated the caliber of this conversation and the implications which made me nauseous I also had a passion for Jesus and have found the Antichrist to Christ, the Christ that never was!

Who doesn't want that? I honestly think smart investors are looking very closely at his books on pharmacopeia, esp the cancer cures. I know I would if I were an investor.

He thinks its pretty cool that they thought he was possessed by demons. This whole interview was beyond disturbing/fascinating. How come more people don’t know more about this? I suspect many more do, they still worship “the whore” in cults. Did you see him when he asked Danny if he had ever partaken of the substance? When Danny says no, Hillman replies, “That’s why you are not in power.” This is still happening.

The problem with all podcasts, even my favorites seems to be that when you have intensely intelligent people in a room with people of average intelligence, you get a lot of confused questioning at awful times. Much like a girlfriend asking "what's gonna happen next?" At the movies. It's nearly impossible to enjoy.

💯 The interviewer is one of the most annoying people I have ever seen interview. He is out of his league, but his ignoring of sensational statements made by the guest is just too much. He is more attuned and intrigued by the rain and noises from the weather happening outside, rather than an incredible remark that was just made by the guest. Each time this guest makes an incredible statement, he is blown off, told to stay on point by the interviewer, and then the guest has everything he says, repeated by the interviewer, wasting time and almost giving a sense of disbelief in the guest statements. Let the guests talk, and let them share their knowledge and their story. Talking like your having out having a beer with him, is not working here.
