Everyday writing could be done on wax tablets or thin leaves of wood. Documents, like legal contracts, were usually written in pen and ink on papyrus. Books were also written in pen and ink on papyrus or sometimes on parchment. Paper was expensive and mostly used by the wealthy. Wax tablets could be used over and over and where much cheaper to make. Thank you for the "mustache fail" and for the joy you bring 😊
