It will go to Station Maliebaan which is at the Dutch Railway Museum. A fun, somewhat interactive museum about the Dutch rail history. Technically it might be but nobody in Utrecht considers that a "local park", I say we don't even consider it a park. There are much better options for that within a 5 minute walk (Park Lepelenburg, Griftpark) which are proper parks. Lepelenburg being part of the Singels around Utrecht, Griftpark being just outside city center. These parks are were you find everybody, not the Stadschouwburg "garden". I feel you missed out on some great spots, I absolutely invite you to come back one day. Just like many other cities, Utrecht can not really be done in a day. I do hope you enjoyed your stay.
