*Eastside Low Bottoms shit !* Tavis missed an interesting opportunity for Quik to explain his mindset from the Rhythmalism to Balance and Options albums. Rhythmalism, as a fan of Q's music, was his funkiest and most musical album. I became an all-out fan BECAUSE of it. Whn i heard We Still Party, i was paralyzed in place listening to it. A friend was bumpin' ir out of his car with a bunch of us standing around talking. I started paying attention and tuned EVERYTHING out and it was on ever sense ! Quik is UNFUCKWITABLE ! PERIOD !

I wonder why Quik half assed answered that question about the female rappers? Eiht answered the question very eloquently, and was at least thoughtful about his answer.

I.V If you listen very closely during that part, he actually mumbled Missy's name. I don't think Quik has anything against female rappers like that. He's stated in several interviews that thought that MC Lyte, and Lady of Rage were some of his favorite rappers. From what I've seen, Quik is just not great with interviews; especially during this era. Notice how he's always looking down, or doing some other awkward, off the wall shit in all of his interview from the 90's. He's better at interviews now, but mostly with smaller venues/ indie publishers. He's just not a camera ready guy. Also, it's also a question of whether or not a female rappers can also " bring it" to the table. Most female rappers aren't that great, and only rap about pussy, and other shit. Take Nicki Minaj for example.

He was trynna hit..the way she said it on the phone IMPLIED she was ready to fuck to get put on..that's why snoop said "keep your clothes on" they was reading her energy and replied real quick..but they was trynna be meaningful with their advice because of the subject of the interview and because they were on LIVE tv at a time where they were already looked down upon..quik just wasnt as clever to hide his intentions as homeboy above stated lol

I did not know that MC Eiht is a native of Georgia (Augusta). I thought he was born in Compton, California. I think legendary producers & artist DJ Quik and Outkast's Big Boi would make an excellent duo for an album!!! Same thing for a MC Eiht, MC Ren, Tha Chill & Big Hutch/Cold 187um album or even a Scarface & King Tee album!!!
