Saw them so many times in the 70s and 80s and they open every show with Caroline. Best good time live band ever. QUO LIVE was recorded in my home town of Glasgow at the Apollo and still my favourite live album of all the bands I love. Thin Lizzy Live and Dangerous and ACDC If You Want Blood a close joint 2nd. Great to see you rocking out to the music of my youth. Mystery Song bro. You gotta do Mystery Song. My favourite Quo song of all time. Respect from Scotland big fella 🙏👍😎

They sure were, I remember the massive queue stretching around the corner and up into the City Centre long before the doors opened at Carlisle Market Hall. Someone had a huge pair of speakers in the back of his van blasting out Quo Live. The air was buzzing with anticipation. Happy Daze.......

I love your reactions to the band I’ve loved since being a teenager in the 70’s Their gigs back then were one big rock and boogie party for 2 to 3 hours.

You get to hear, 'the drone', which is what's played at the beginning of every gig. It leads right into, 'Caroline', and sets the mood perfectly. 👌 Status Quo don't do sad songs. Every one is either up-beat and happy or reflective in some way. Their live stuff is always balls-out rock 'n' roll from start to finish.

I seen Status Quo live and I had a blast, but it was a shame they didn't play "In the Army Now" which I would of liked to watch live along with both parts of the Anniversary Waltz they done with other cover versions like Roy Orbison's/Everly Brothers Claudette

If you get a chance you might listen to The Quo playing "Gerdundula (Live 2004)". It isn't heavy, it isn't rock. it's just a good example of a happy band having a great time.

the lead guitarist is Frances Rossey the rhythm guitarist is Rick Parfit the bass player is John "Rhino" Edwards the pianist/other rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist is Andrew Brown the drummer is I think the 4th drummer the band had Leon Cave

I was at this gig. I loved it. Straight off of their Frantic Four reunion. So they still had a bit of the old school rock sound going as opposed to their more modern Quo sound. Was absolutely magic. You can see me boogying a few times in this video. Definitely during Big Fat Mama. 😂😂😂 I was so so drunk. My mates went to see Twisted Sister who were the band on before the Quo. I decided to use up the left over of the days beer tokens and stood at the bar more or less. 😂😂 Fuck! I love going quo’ing.

Yep the Quo are the greatest! Keep in mind that this concert is of the Quo when they are old and in their sixties. They were much better when they were young (back in the 1970's and 80's). And in this concert two of the original members, bass player Alan Lancaster and drummer John Coghlan, had left the band. All that is left here in this video is lead guitarist Francis Rossi and rhythm guitarist Rick Parfitt. Parfitt died a few years ago.

Love this compilation of your reactions to the Download gig. As much as they were fantastic here, there are far more brilliant examples of them live before this. You really have to, even if you don't publish your reaction, watch the End Of the Road video from Milton Keynes. Absolutely stunning.
