I know how it feels a bit. I had depression. When you are unhappy with your situation and regrets your choices, you keep living in the past and how the good old days were much better. I kept isolating myself, getting fat and spending a lot of time on my bed doing nothing or binging youtube videos. I'm 31 and single, so I came to spend some time with my parents. My professor allowed some time and that I keep finishing writing my thesis here with them. I actually learned from watching detractor content about Phil how not the act, and that we need help from our loved ones when we are not ok. Thats Phils biggest problem right now, imo. He refuses any help. He keeps his delusion and pushing everyone away, as he always has. Now he has almost no one to rely on.

DSP is the only person I know who speaks on things like applications, websites, and coding as if he is either an expert or understands the concepts on a level equal with the KZfaq employees that manage/write/work-on those things. All while not knowing basic knowledge about cloud based networking or computing. I guess fake it til' you make it, but he's seemingly skipping the "make it" part.

It's worse than that. He doesn't understand the robust, complex knowledge of using Google. Or restarting and updating your PC to keep it up to date. He acts like he updates his drivers. But I doubt it. And he also doesn't understand anything about software versions and compatibility. I just keep thinking of more things. Like you said, he doesn't understand networking. But on a more basic level, he doesn't understand how internet lines work at all. Hence him having a business line. Which isn't different to a normal line at all. He doesn't understand VPNs or netcode. But acts like hes an expert on those aswell.

I cracked the code!!! When dsp talks it sounds like someone presenting a class. Like following up a statement with "now what dose that mean" I remember teachers and kids giving presentations doing. So when he "got" his "buissnes degree" he didn't absorb any of the info from the class just how the teacher talked and "he" thinks that that is the business know how "he" clames to have.

When I heard DSP talking about how KZfaq changes “to chase a trend” I shook my head in disbelief. Someone with a business degree would understand how companies need to adapt to the market in order to keep the doors open. Just because they change doesn’t mean they made a mistake. This has nothing to do with the video itself but I figured I had to share it with you Atlus cause you'll get a kick out of this. I finished Baldur's Gate 3 recently and then went and watched the last part of the TIHYDP. Well at the need of the game through thick and thin with his party DSP's character married Halsin. He didn't mean to but somehow managed to not realize every dialogue option he gave Halsin led to that. And this led to my favorite DSP quote of all time. "The game is essentially a s3xual predator." He actually said this because he accidentally got into a relationship with Halsin. I couldn't stop laughing at how absurd it was.

No Phil, they do test stuff. It's usually in a small-scale environment and then they can apply hot-fixes to any problems that arise when it hits the masses. Assuming the problem is worth such a fix. Also, not the kind of thing to bring to your audience, really. How many of them actively give a rat's arse about youtube revenue? It's not their money. It's not their problem. KZfaq is not important to billions of people.

Recently, Phil has had the rhetoric that he wants things to be the way they were in 2010. But they can't and shouldn't. People's standards went up. KZfaq changed in many ways. The amount of creators increased, thus upping the production value and competition. The ad revenue turned into stream and sponsorship revenue. Things can't just be easy street, you're the only guy making 250,000 dollars a month for churning out videos. Phil is delusional yes, but he also lives in the past.

great content as always boss, big ups to anyone with the mental fortitude to listen to him for that long. I can barely make it for an hour or two just watching PoP re-stream his fight nights before the primal monkey part of my brain takes over makes me want to forcibly exile him from the herd. ☠💀

6:11 it’s called tria and error, dsp doesn’t believe in that though, things must work on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd try, PC gaming sometimes having a game glitch is a risk too heavy to happen on stream

13:09 where did Phil get the idea that disputes take 2 weeks to resolve? I fight content ID claims on just about every video. A DISPUTE gives the copyright holder, not YT, 30 days to decide. If he filed an APPEAL, which you can do instead in most cases, they get 7 days, caveat being, if they deny your appeal, your video us removed and you get a strike. Maybe the same mutt that's striking everyone handles his disputes and gave Phil wrong information, and Phil can NEVER be bothered to do research.

Dave has never changed with the times, he was forced under pressure into a new shape because it became so screamingly obvious it broke his pygnosis. He only started using a capture card after loosing millions of monthly views and subscribers, and it wasn't until it hit the 8 mil mark he finally submitted to his audience. And he didn't pick up streaming until he was fired from machinima well into it's down fall because Phil is so adverse to chance he'd rather stay on the sinking ship, even when there is an obvious life vest 10 feet away. And he didn't start interacting with his audience until he learned his easy job could loose any level of difficulty by demanding the audience hold his hand the whole time.

If he really has 65,000 videos, and 4 million views, that's on average only 61 views per video. No wonder he doesn't rank in the search bar.

I guarantee Phil was not just chilling eating his bagel going "eh. Whatever" I would bet a lot of money that he was freaking out and if the issue hadn't been resolved by the time of his stream he would have ranted about being demonetized.

the fact that this thing was fixed in 2 hours shows that it cant have been major cause if it was major it wouldnt have been fixed in 2 hours it probably was just a display bug too since i just assume most of the things phil actually sees and most of the things in the code when the money is being calculated are sql select statements they check the viewcount they check retention they check members and for stuff like viewcount they compare to the prior billing cycles count so only the new stuff counts. its not hard to imagine. and phil is reall ybitching for half an hour that he couldnt see his stats for 2
