Another saving tip for weeding. Cut you broken Solo cups into a ring about 3 inches from the top. Put that ring around the seeds you planted. Anything not in a ring is a weed! Easy peasy!

I should have planted the carrots and the par. Snips and Rose, so they would be easier to identify.😂😂😂

This is why I plant the seeds into rows in my raised bed. Easier to weed.

I was so blessed from my son from another mother. He gave me his grandpas gardening chair . It has a track looking seat and on the bottom it a rocker like bottom. So I just rock it around the rows. We just took each other in as extended family. And always get holidays texts and invites.

Oh my Bev, that's a lot of weeds. I've learned to plant intensively in all our beds. Cabbage gets planted with radishes , Tomatoes are pruned up at the bottoms and carrots underneath them. Lettuce, swiss chard, kale, collards, mustard greens all planted in thick rows so no dirt is exposed to the light.. Marigolds, oregano, catnip, thyme , nasturtiums, dill, basil all planted at the ends of each bed. I use a lot of our grass clippings as well to heavily mulch all the beds in the growing season. In the fall we top all the beds with a thick layer of shredded leaves and chicken poo which all gets turned into the soil in the spring. All our garden pathways have a good 5 to 6 inches of wood chips on them. Little to no weeding other than a few grass plants that pop up.

If you have any tomatoe cages not being used for the tomatoes use them for your other items. Like the bean. If you need them. ❤❤❤

So wish you could've used the landscape fabric. But on somethings it would be useless like carrots and parsnips! So many weeds I don't see how you keep up with them!! The landscape fabric is the only thing that makes it possible for me to plant or the weeds would of just overtaken everything and everything is in ground for me and I just couldn't get down on the ground to weed! Or rather getting back up and that's NOT a pretty sight! LOL. I got my 6 tomato plants today! Gonna try buckets again this year!

Greetings from North Carolina! Mrs V…. You go girl! The garden is looking fantastic…. Mom used to say “what you don’t get done today will be waiting for you tomorrow “. Besides it gives those tiny fellas an extra day to become a little bit bigger and stronger for the next time you’re able to weed. I’ve got plenty of cherry tomatoes and more blossoms on the vine. Harvested radishes to go along with the lettuce. But with all the rain we’ve had the lettuce has begun to bolt. Can’t wait for the eggplants, lots of big purple flowers. 👋

Lamb's quarters are a delicious weed. Seeing your marigolds reminded me that I forgot to buy some on yesterday's shopping trip. Darn, but luckily the store is not far away and I will remember today. Thank you.
