I think Jonathan Roumie in The Chosen is by far the most accurate depiction of Jesus Lord Christ and his disciples. If you haven’t watched it, I highly recommend. It is such a GOOD show.

I don’t like how they always make Jesus look handsome, when he came looking homely so that he didn’t represent Saul, the first king of Israel who was merely chosen based on his physical attributes looking kingly and of which God gave the often overlooked verse “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart”
