Hello Creeps! I wanted to share with you every book I read in January 2023. I was very surprised that I was able to read seven books! All of these were in the genre or either horror, thriller, or mystery. Some of these books were absolutely fantastic (like Alex North's The Whisper Man) and other books just weren't for me. Thank you for the recommendations! I am old school and enjoy recommendations for new horror, however I find that new horror cannot compare to the glory days of 70's, 80's, 90's horror

sounds like you had an awesome reading month! i've read a couple grady hendrix in the past that i didn't really like that much so i've been really on the fence about reading how to sell a haunted house. but i'm listening to the audio for the southern book club's guide to slaying vampires + i'm really enjoying it so this might be the one to get me on the hendrix train, lol.

Yeah, Grady Hendrix has very '80's B horror movie vibes. I loved My Best Friend's Exorcism by him. That is super '80's horror meets class struggles kind of thing meets a girls coming of age thing. Really fun with gross out moments!

Yeah I average like 4-8 books a month lol. I definitely don’t understand how people can read 15+. Also it’s totally okay to not like books and say why :). I actually have found a lot of books I like through bad reviews. So I wouldn’t feel bad!

Have you ever taken a chance on a complete unknown? Author & Book Title? I did just that recently, “Dancing with the Uninvited Guest” by J Wallis Martin. I’m currently reading it and loving it😎👍🏻

NEVER FORGET TO CHECK OUT 'LET'S GO PLAY AT THE ADAMS.' EVEN YOU WILL BE IN HORROR. IN FACT IT MIGHT BE A BIT MUCH FOR YOU; ABOMINABLE EVEN. IT'S NOT A CREEP READ IN THE SOMETHING SOMEWHERE BEHIND YOU SENSE, BUT RATHER IN THE SOMETHING RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF YOU WAY. ONE OF MY PHILOSOPHIES IS, 'NO GOOD MONSTER WILL EVER LOOK LIKE ONE.' FOOD FOR THOUGHT. OR MAYBE INSPIRATION FOR GOING AND DOING SOMETHING ELSE. IT'S ALL YOU.
