Excellent video, the removing one too. Any cripping hints - does it need special tools. ? I’ve heard hammering isn’t a proper way to do it.

The double dribble is because the You Tube algorithm 'promotes' longer videos for more views which = more subs = potentially more $ for the video maker!

For anybody planning to use these for automotive use, solder can crack under vehicle vibrations which will compromise your connections. It's far better to double crimp those terminals. Also, heatshrink around the leftover exposed wire will waterproof the connections. Otherwise very detailed.

Agreed. Also tin the wire before you crimp it. I still like to solder after crimping, though. As the Irishman said as he pulled on a second condom.... .. to be sure, to be sure.

Lead solder is easier to flow and less brittle

Good to see someone use the same method I use as crimping cracked the lugs so I chose soldering but I found after a few years the wire corrodes and breaks off at the end of the solder joint, the flux is corrosive unfortunately maybe I have to switch brands of solder.

Cheers mate . I have never had a problem using solder . On thick cables I usually crimp and solder . I don’t like crimping small gauge cable as I found it pulls out of the lug at times. Thanks for watching 👍🍻

Just a excellent foolproof clear well shot tutorial. Thank you very much Just bought a Dometic PBL battery and Renogy 100 watt Eclipse Solar Suitcase and need to put a Anderson plug on the Renogy. Was in Brisbane in 1976 on a walkabout with Aussie troops during my Marine Corps enlistment. Great country you have. The folks all treated us like royalty👍

I am putting together a solar panel and battery for a greenhouse to run a little 12V water pump. Had no idea how to connect these plugs. Another KZfaq channel said you needed a 10 tonne hydraulic press - you’ve got to be kidding! Your description saved my sanity today!

For auto use i would recommend crimping and add silicone or hot glue to the end you have pushed wire in to stop any water / moisture ingress , liked and good vid mate re how they insert and lock in

You must "tin" the wires. That avoids cold solder joints. Cold solder joints with high current causes high resistance which leads to heat buildup and joint failure.
