Not every great rivalry needs sledging. This has been a really underrated battle. In 2014, Anderson denied Kohli and in 2018 Kohli returned the favour, let's see what happens in probably their last battle in England this year. An incoming legend vs An outgoing legend. Edit :- An explosive start with Jimmy taking the first round, but there are 9 potential innings remaining. Warning :- Angry Kohli and Rohit fans ahead, enter at your own risk. Edit 2:- An abrupt end to the series. Anderson got kohli two times, troubled him one other time and Kohli was able to play him off in the rest. Pretty even steven. Unfortunate that we didn't get to see it in Jimmy's home ground. Edit 3 :- the series finally ends. I'd say at an even Steven level.

Even in 2017, Pune test Ind vs Aus, Steve smith was dropped 3-4 times even before his half century and he went on to score a match winning hundred. He was dropped too but we can't deny that it was a masterclass innings. Similarly dropped catches doesn't mean that Virat isn't a legend.

Kohli of 2014 is an example of when a batsman get into the shell, then he becomes his own enemy. But, in 2018 when kohli came with some improved adjustments and played free minded against jimmy, it showed that how one can make a comeback through mindset. At the end, its too interesting to see these two greats of the game against each other. Veterans 🛐🙌

Look at the improvisation years after years, his success in 2016 and 2018 is due to the use of soft hands!!! Due to Kohli playing with soft hands ball doesn't reaches upto the slips even if the ball is pitched up. Legend!!

REAL ANALYSIS IS HERE, ⬇️💗 In 2012, Both had almost equal contest, Kohli scored 23 runs against him (3 boundaries) and he dismissed Kohli once . In 2014, Anderson dominated Kohli, dismissed him 4 times, Kohli could score just 19 runs (3 boundaries) . In 2016, Kohli dominated Anderson, He scored 69 runs against him ( 8 boundaries ), Anderson couldn't dismiss him even once . In 2018, Kohli dominated Anderson again, He scored 114 runs against him ( 13 boundaries ), however 2 inhand catches of Kohli dropped in 1st innings which is quite common in test Match specifically in England, but after that he completely dominated Anderson in the rest of the series facing 270 balls . In 2021, In India, Kohli didn't get much chance to face him, However he scored 11 runs against him (1 boundary) and Anderson couldn't dismiss him, so I would say Kohli had an edge here over him . In 2021, In England, Kohli scored 61 runs against Anderson ( 10 boundaries ), however Anderson dismissed him 2 times out of Ist 4 innings, But then the way Kohli dominated him in last 3 innings is remarkable ( OMG Those cover drives with that much confidence 😍, Thats what I love about Kohli, Thats why he is the best in the world, He knows how to get up and dominate ) . And now after 2022 last test, scoring 8 runs ( 1 boundary ) ⬇️ Overall, Virat Kohli vs Anderson Runs - 305, Dismissals - 7, Avg - 43.5 ❤👏 If a batsman averages 43.5 against a bowler, it means he dominated him Now in England, Kohli has scored 207 runs against Anderson with average - 34.5 and 34.5 avg is a good one. This 34.5 avg. too is because of 2014 tour ...However if we see, Kohli's performance against Anderson in 2018, 2021-2022 Eng tour, Then its 183 runs with brilliant average of 91.5 👑🤙🏻 This video is just before this tour and also from 2018 tour they showed only some boundaries, and in this tour Kohli hit some amazing cover drives against Anderson. Hope they will make another video having complete analysis !!!

Stunning video with applause for each JA delivery! - his variations, the curlers, the way he draws Kohli out (who, looking back to this video and now in 2021 2nd test) - has regressed. Even in 2018 he was extremely lucky in his 1st couple innings against JA when he probably realized it's his time/turn to score big. 2021, 1st test, 1st golden duck - and now against Sam Curran - Kohli is playing 6th stump line, trying to drive the bowler away (this is clearly not Aus). For all his technical prowess that's beyond doubt - Kohli is far 2nd best against JA (even though it's his home conditions). For Kohli I think as Nas Hussain noted - captaincy taking his mind away - which seems spot on. Wow Nas Hussain! astute

neither kohli is the best batter in Test Cricket and nor James Anderson the best bowler as Pat Cummins is the best bowler in test Cricket and Steve Smith is the best test batter since Bradman in Test Cricket and Smith is far ahead than kohli in real form of the game (Test Cricket) as Smith averages 57 in away tests compared to Kohli's 44 and Smith's overall test average is 62 compared to kohli's 52 .

@@nayanjnath3875 that doesn't mean kohli is the best or Anderson and you certainly don't understand test Cricket because if you did then you would've known that Australia could've won thet gabba match if they made a bouncier track as they did 2nd test at Perth in 2018-19 series against india and then even their b side defeated india as they had home advantage which is disconcerting bounce, the same way india has an advantage in spin and we saw how rattled india were when England defeated india in the first test in Chennai and then india produced square turners and won that series because they used their home advantage and had Australia used their home advantage, it would've been 4-0 in favour of Aussies

I wouldn't say pure domination.. Anderson was very unlucky that series. He drew most false shots from Kohli but didn't manage to get him out, plus the dropped catches didn't help. But taking no credit away from Kohli he was a much better player in 2018.

Who came after Jimmy Anderson announced his retirement. Even though I am an Indian fan, we miss the battle between arch-rivals Kohli and Anderson. The truth is that Anderson owns Kohli because he always targets him bowling outside good-length deliveries and the latter tries to play but misses it. We never forget The GOAT pacer who picked 981 wickets in 400 international matches, which is not a joke. Virat Kohli is of course No.1 Test Batsman, but we cannot rule him out Jimmy Anderson. His career spanned around 21 years which is commendable. Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad will always remain as England's deadly pacer duo.

Before I started watching this video, I guessed that those clips from 2016 when English toured India might not have included in this video ..... And I was true 😅 Virat scored 655 runs in 8 Innings 2 hundreds, 2 fifties With a Highest score of 235 and an avg. of 109.16 Anderson :- 5 Innings 79.0 ov 214 runs 4 wickets

@@sunnymane6639 Only an idiot can say this! In the Indian conditions Anderson can't even imagine to take kohli's wicket, so half of the battle is already won by kohli! In the English conditions Anderson won this battle in 2014, kohli was clear winner in 2018 and it's an even contest in 2021. All the experts agree with it. It means kohli is fighting equally well in Anderson's den . So opinion of a moron like you doesn't even matter!

To beat Anderson, Kohli had to raise his batting standards 🔥 like he did in 2018 tour. Hope he will score centuries in this tour as well. 🏏

His batting standards were subpar even in 2018. The only reason he scored in 2018 was plenty of luck which has run out of in 2021. He was dropped plenty of times, and his edges fell in no man's land. And even if you consider 2018 as raising standard what do you call Steve Smith? Normal average 60 in England, last ashes 774 runs at an average of 113 in a mere 7 innings, 2 back to back centuries 142 and 142, 92 out (due on concussion), missed second innings, 211, 82 in fourth test, and 80 and 23 in fifth test. He would have even humbled Don Bradman on that tour had he had 3 extra innings. To top it off Smith averages higher than Kohli in India at 60, and better than Kohli in Australia at 65.
