Shows the realness of a panic attack. Dizzy ness, crying for help, moments of feeling like your dying. And then, when your out of it, it’s almost as if nothing happened.

Okay, I was straight out SHOCKED and SCARED when I first watched this!! I didn’t know what was happening and I was freaking out! This is like the most scary serious thing that’s happened in the show so far! I wasn’t ready for this scene! Also, Im really happy Jonah is getting some more depth into his character. All he’s been up until now was Andi’s overly cheery clueless boyfriend who didn’t know how to act like a normal person or be serious. This scene and the last scene where he confesses to Andi has already done SO much to help his character development! I dont think Jonah will be getting anymore hate from people, including me.

i love that they're showing kids that anxiety and panic attacks are nothing to be ashamed of, and giving kids who have them someone to relate to. and of all people, i love that they chose Jonah. it shows that it can happen to anyone, even the happy-go-lucky, always positive person. it shows that it's okay to not be perfect and positive all the time. major props to Disney, although the sillier shows are fun, Andi Mack addresses some real issues and is serious, all while being fun and entertaining.

This is honestly one of the best portrayals of a panic attack I have ever seen. Most ones I have seen take place from a third person point of view but the fact that they shot it where you can see what he’s seeing makes it that much more real. I have a lot of panic/anxiety attacks and that’s almost spot on how I experience them. I get dizzy, can hardly see anything, can’t breathe. I always describe mine as I’m drowning and no matter how hard I try to swim, something is patched into my ankle, dragging me further from the surface. So in short, like I’m gonna die. I’m so so glad that mental health issues and the LGBTQA+ community are finally being discussed and represented on shows such as this.

1:10 "I can't go through that every day." Those words made me feel somewhat sad. Because I have a Panic Disorder. And I don't have them EVERY day. I would if I didn't know how to calm myself. But it made me wanna say to him. "I go through that every single day. And it's sucks because I can't control it. And even if it already happened, even if it happened a thousand times. I'm never prepared. And my only cure is time. And knowing that one day it will stop." This made more connected to the show. I am a veteran now. And I would love to show kids how to control theirs. Even if I'm still having problems with mine.

1:26 I totally get Jonah. Not about panic attacks, but about people thinking differently of you because of what you have. In fact, this isn't just about Jonah; it's about TJ too. I myself have a learning disability, so it's easier for me to misunderstand information or instructions, need clarification, and appear to be dumb. I feel certain people see me that way, even if they aren't consciously thinking the word, since it's cruel. In other words, sometimes I feel in my guts they think I'm the _meaning_ of "dumb" but not the offensive word _itself,_ if that makes sense. I mean, they're not callous people or anything, so they wouldn't be mean, even if in private. I feel people can still like and seemingly respect you, while automatically thinking you're less(er) due to your learning disability. This is the reason I haven't forgiven my old manager for a few unfiltered comments she made, even if she is sweet and caring. Why _do_ the alternative have to think we disabled learners are second-rate?
