Andie has returned and this week she joins us in opening many wonderful gifts, in the heat, on the terrace!
In 'Cadeaux at the Chateau', all of the inhabitants of the Chateau de Lalande gather together to open beautiful gifts that people have sent from all over the world. All of the monetisation from these videos will be donated to a different charity each month. KZfaq earnings fluctuate wildly each month, as ad revenue changes throughout the year. Here are the charities that we've donated to so far:
July 2020:
British Heart Foundation UK (in memory of my father) €634
August 2020:
Alzheimer's Research UK (in memory of all of the residents of my parents' nursing homes) €350
September 2020:
Prostate Cancer Foundation (in memory of Selmar's father) €1255
October 2020:
Medecins sans Frontieres (chosen by my mother to support vaccinations in Africa) €942 (equivalent to 426 cholera vaccinations)
November & December 2020 & Jan & Feb 2021:
A Lalande Fashion Scholarship for a student at the Villioti Fashion Institute in South Africa €5500
March 2021:
Suffolk Artlink £1505
I used to show the gifts as part of 'The Chateau Diaries' episodes, but you're all so very generous that we have many gifts, and if we spent the episodes opening them, we wouldn't be able to show you other aspects of chateau life! So, for those of you who enjoy watching presents being opened, and as a way to thank those of you who were kind enough to send them, I've made this new channel. Every week we will film your beautiful gifts whilst enjoying afternoon tea or aperitif together.
It is very important to me that you know that we in no way expect anyone to send us gifts. I would like to go further than that and add that, if doing so will put you in any financial difficulty whatsoever, please, please do not send us anything. Knowing that you join us by watching @The Chateau Diaries gives us all an enormous boost. But for those of you who have sent these incredibly thoughtful gifts, I hope that seeing us open them gives you a fraction of the joy that you've given us, and that by monetising this channel for charity we can pass on that joy to others 💖💖💖

Does anyone professionally understand how seeing someone else been happy make you feel happy yourself??? Since watching the vlogs and been part of this beautiful community i have felt a lot happyer and i think it is because of the sincere and joyfull content that Stephanie and the Lalanders share. Those were really beautiful work! I used to embroider bed linens and table linens but a tremor in my hands, a loss of small motor skills, and arthritis made me stop.

Battling Ovarian Cancer with 5 reoccurrences in 12 years now in at home palliative care but feel great! A cancer caught to late for most women, I am a patron can’t give much money but do my best, your Diaries have saved my sanity & makes my day with your kindness, laughter, giving & hope to all to dream! Yes, it would be a good charity as it may benefit many women. I've personally known a few women (I'm actually surprised at how many as I'm pondering this tonight) who have had ovarian cancer.

Prayers for you Maria. I had ovarian cancer; I don't know why I survived whilst others didn't, but might as well stay positive, no matter what the outcome. Staying positive doesn't cost anything, and it makes the days fly by. You're drawn to positivity, and so I pray positivity is drawn to you. I wasn't supposed to reach my 43rd bday, and now I'm turning 62. It makes no sense. Just know that you're here now, and you matter, and I wish you comfort and joy whatever the future brings you. hugs to you.

I agree don’t know why some survived & some didn’t especially with all the surgeries & infections I had but I am here & living my best life!!! I worked in the Cancer Institute and melanoma and sarcoma are some of type of skin cancers we treated. They are awful cancers. So glad you donated to this charity ❤

A beautiful Angel passed away from melanoma called Emily Hayward...she was 16 when she was diagnosed..she lived to 24 years old and passed away in june 2018 ...🙏❤...she was incredibly strong through out her treatment. She did not stop cancer from getting in her way of her enjoying her life ! ...she was the most positive, inspirational person you would ever know ...a beautiful, kind , generous and incredibly courageous to the end . Her you tube channel is still up and honestly any one going through illness or mental health should watch her as she changes your outlook on life ! ...A beautiful soul who lost her battle but lived every single second of her life with pure determination right up till her last breath ....❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏

Stephanie... regarding shampoo bars, make sure you look up how to use and care for it. There's a learning curve and a specific storage technique. Otherwise, you end up with a gloppy mess if you leave it in a water puddle after use. They are GREAT for travel on flights since it's not a liquid.

I make these, wet hair , wet bar, smooth bar over hair a couple time, lather, rinse. Same with conditioner bar. A little goes a long way.

"You've made Nati a very happy woman". Well, that's a phrase I was not expecting to hear in my lifetime! So happy the gifts will be of use to all at LaLande. Loved Philip and Stephanie's reaction to the squirrel & hedgehog bag. I'm sure Nati was true to her word and tested and sorted all the batteries before dinner!! Sorry that the "other" chateau mouse got to feasting on the ginger cake . I feel that perhaps Ruby should re-evaluate their position as LaLande cat. I bought a set of those beautiful mugs on the ferry from Vancouver to Vancouver Island, actually I bought two, one as a housewarming gift for my sister and another as a xmas gift for my daughter. They are in 4 beautiful colours and feature art from Indigenous artists, hummingbird, Orca etc. Just gorgeous. I now want a set for myself!

When you use the shampoo bars for the first time you may experience sticky hair (not sure how to describe it properly This is because normal shampoo leaves silicone and other products in the hair and the shampoo bar is stripping them out It's really worth the effort as your hair will feel amazing once the product is stripped out I found out by googling why my shampoo bar left my hair feeling funny after I was gifted one They are so eco friendly I hope you all love them

My daughter suggested I use a leave-in conditioner. Why would I wash all the stuff out of my hair then add more stuff in it? 😂 I hate how hair products make my hair feel so rarely do anything but wash it twice a week.

I have been using solely a shampoo bar for nearly a decade. Changed my life and enhanced my hair amazingly. I have a hell of a lot of fine, medium length hair, it’s coloured and I can’t recommend ditching your plastic bottles. The bar lasts months and it’s great to travel with ( whenever that’ll ever happen again ). The one I use is J R Liggetts - either Original Formula or Herbal. They leave ZERO residue. I am in NZ, but I buy from IHerb

That shampoo you received is the best stuff ever. My daughter introduced me to this product and it is amazing!!! I don’t plan on going back to any other product!!! The conditioner is not heavy like others! Such a wonderful gift. You just rub the shampoo bar around your scalp a few times no need to rub it in your hands. A little goes a long way. Conditioner I only use on the ends of my medium length hair. What wonderful gifts!!! What wonderful gifts you give as well!!! Your donation from this vlog is amazing you will be greatly bless ❤️

I’m so happy my gifts from Vancouver, Washington USA arrived safely! (We are about 4-6 hour drive by car from Vancouver, B.C. Canada depending on who your driver is. 😉) I am so pleased you love your new yellow mug, Stephanie! The Blue Bonnets are my Texas state flower. In Texas, once planted, we are not allowed to mow them down, move them, cut them for floral arrangements, etc. We plant them in meadows and along side roads so they can naturalize. I am so blessed the day I found your vlogs just a month ago. Stephanie you and the le Landers have helped me get through the holiday season, since my husband passed away in September and my children have all been sick the past three weeks so we still have not been able to celebrate our Xmas. Wonderful to see Andie again, Lalande just keeps calling people back...
