I love mine! I didn't realize it had the phono. Plugged my Rega table into it and it works perfectly. Such an amazing all in one stereo. Coolness is off the charts.

I have the Conion C-100F Kobe Japan and it sounds majestic. And he is in good physical condition. It is an iconic radio from the 80s.

I remember seeing that boombox at Zodies or kmart back in a day. I wanted that so bad for Christmas. But I got a Fisher boombox instead but I was happy with that.

Omfg, I wish I still had Aldo Nova on cassette, awesome stereo too. This brought back a memory of speed walking to the cafeteria to get fries, and having to stop and listen to this song, and compliment the half prep half banger on his taste in music and stereo's, and trying to not miss out on fries

OMG!! Its the same boom box i had when i was like 20 yrs old and it was a REAL BIG DEAL back then in N.Y....I really miss them now and bro they use to sound massively loud and the bass was really hard hitting but sometimes i couldnt be raised to loud on those speakers or theyll start clipping on the woofers but now since there are alots of new sound formats and digital frequencies that now sound has gone to a whole new level but in those days of boom boxes kids and youngsters thought they were the only one with boom boxes that when you realized ,there a bunch of them in your block where you lived so every one of them flaunting there bb and there tunes...those days i will never forget...oh and forgot to mention this b box had also had a sensor alarm just incase sombody move it to steal it..cool...😁🤩🤩🤩🤩

Great video any idea where I can get a power cord for this boom box
@samuelfellows69237 ай бұрын
I assume the LED meters are power, and the analog meters in the left-hand-top-corner are UV ~ aux/cassette, battery/tuning ~ radio. The white box between the power meters is apparently a burglar alarm sensor ~ the idea that this boombox can be armed to deter burglars from stealing it 🤭

@@80s_Boombox_Collector pretty sure they not came out in 82. They came out in 84. This is what i read on some page on the net. And mine (clairtone 7980) was made on 10 august 84. You can see the date inside the case if you open it.

I would really love to see this classic updated like Lasonic did.My friend owned one, and when Lasonic started producing the I931's , we always hoped the other companies would get on the ball. I believe I commented about another Lasonic, the TRC- 920, on your page that I'd would have liked to see modernized. Keep sharing, sir ! You gotta nice collection of Originals.

+Kyd Wykkydboi The sad truth is, I doubt any large company today would be willing to manufacture a boombox so big. The potential market for such a device would be too small.

On that under storage... I BET HALF OF THE DUDES I SEEN WITH THIS MODEL ... DID NOT KNOW ..... that storage was under THERE!!! 🤣🤣🤣 , i knew a guy that had one, him and another friend of ours went HALF on it, only thing we knew about it was the THEFT ALARM (which i thought was gonna be demonstrated in this video), they'd set it over and over again and played the music ,and one of us would grab it just to make the alarm sound off 🤣🤣🤣, anyways RIP TO MICHAEL NIX 📻🎧 ...... 🕊

Which one do you prefer between this one and the M90?
@80s_Boombox_Collector4 жыл бұрын
I don't own an M90 because they cost too much, and they look too conservative. But they definitely sound cleaner and they're built a lot better.

@@80s_Boombox_Collector Oh I see, yeah I do agree on that as well. To me, it has more of a simple and classy look. I think the C100f looks really awesome as well. Definitely much more better looking than the Sanyo 920 in my opinion.

I had this radio (Helix version) - 30 watts per channel but the distortion was pretty high as well. Loved it and so did anyone who witnessed it. 30 lbs without batteries but it still went on my shoulder on occasion.
