Could Kleya be Cassian's lost sister? It would make her presence in the story a lot more meaningful. Especially because she is the one who wants him killed. She wouldn't know the name Andor or Cassian or what planet he ended up on so wouldn't know they are the same person.

Maarva's death feels wrong. What if faking her death is part of her larger plan to hit the Empire? This off-screen death is very suspicious to me. Something is going on.

Another incredible episode and it's the most emotional character to character episode. The whole payoff with Andor really is incredible. Tony Gilroy just knows how to choose character beats so perfectly. “I need to get a message to Maarva Andor- tell Maarva I'm okay. tell her I'm thinking about her. she’d be proud of me. and I'll get back as soon as I can…”

I loved that Luthen wasn’t stressed at all during the Imperial confrontation, his blood pressure was an easy 120/80 the whole time! One thing I thought was odd, they didn’t show Marvas death…. Wondering if she’s still alive and that was the only way to get her out as she was being monitored all the time! Just a thought…. Great episode

It leaves me feeling a bit disillusioned as to what it is that people actually want from TV now. Even aside from the dogfight in space which is very obviously thrilling, there were a number of scenes with thrilling dialogue which I guess are lost on some people (Luthen in Saw's compound, Mon talking to Vel at the house, Vel talking to Kleya at the shop come to mind). All of those interactions are tense and have baked-in conflict in their own regard without the need for blasters or explosions

Really liked that they reversed the common trope of the teenager reject the traditional ways to rebel against the parents, Ledda’s still rebelling, but this time she’s embracing tradition (and potentially foreshadowing, arranged marriage)

Just to make sure everyone’s on the same page of what exactly Luthen’s plan was (I know it took me a second viewing to understand): He has his one of his ship’s engines firing like it’s malfunctioning, so that the cruiser’s heat readings don’t pick up on his countermeasures being prepped and fired up. He feigns trying to escape so that the cruiser is forced to increase the tractor beam’s pull strength, thereby increasing the speed and power that the little missiles have when they strike the tractor beam (being fired from his ship AND pulled in at a high velocity). Genius acting, genius writing, genius show. I will never stop singing Andor’s praises. 10/10.

I'm convinced now that Luthen is a Jedi, perhaps a grey one. The hallway shot from last episode with his robes, his calmness in every tense situation, and those side lasers looked and behaved like kyber crystal powered light sabers. What is his sacrifice? Fun Fact: The ship at 14:53 is called “Cantwell-class Arrestor Cruiser”. Colin Cantwell, a concept artist who designed spacecraft for Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, pitched the design to George Lucas for use in the movie (1977). Its original name was “Sith Carrier” and the dishes on its sides were intended to be used to destroy various ships. The idea was later adapted for the superlaser weapon of the Death Star. Alright...when Luthen pulled those space needles out the back of the hooptie, I cheer-laughed. Andor is quite literally everything I want out of a fleshed out series about the start to a rebel alliance that is overshadowed by an Empire. I was so curious about this show when it was announced as 12 episodes compared to the standard 6-8, with a season two greenlit so early and now its being shown on cable?? They know how truly awesome this story and characters are if put in the right hands! And by God, Tony Gilroy has nailed it thus far. Next Wednesday is going to be bittersweet...

I really loved this episode, I just thought that this it was really great in so many different aspects. I honestly just loved everything in it. It did such an amazing job at emotions and showing parallels. All of the performances were amazing, and had so much debt whenever a character was going through a emotional moment. And the cinematography in this episode was also incredible, there are just so many different shots and scenes in this episode where the camera work makes it even more impactful. They did such an incredible job at humanizing BE and showing his emotions, I felt so bad for him this entire episode seeing how he dealt with Maarva’s death. And I loved how even after she was gone, Brasso looked after BE, which shows that he really cares for him and doesn’t just view him as some unfeeling machine. That scene between Mon Mothma and Vel is also really emotional because we watch as how Mon starts to break down because she knows she’s in trouble but has to hold in her emotions so others won’t see. The scene with Saw was perfect, especially because of Forest Whitaker’s performance, I loved how Luthen used Saw’s suspiciousness just to prove a point. And that space battle with Luthen and his cool ship was so awesome. Then that scene with Cassian and the end where he finds out that Maarva died is so emotional, and he never says a word. Just hearing this complete silence as he lets the words sink in and he realizes what has happened, seeing him in this total moment of shock was amazing on so many levels. And it gets even sadder when you realize that they never really got to say goodbye to one another. This show has been so incredible so far and I cannot wait wait for the Season 1 finale and see how the whole story will come together and be able to wrap up in the end.

Now the things we know are all coming together. Mon Mothma began secretly supporting her own rebellion at the end of 6 BBY, and all episodes of Andor are at the beginning of the year of 5 BBY. Ezra Bridger's birthday is on the 21st day of the 5th month, therefore the first season of Star Wars Rebels begins several months after the events of Andor, when Ezra is already 14 years old. We know that Mon Mothma's Rebellion joins Bail Organa's 14-year old Rebellion in 5 BBY, which makes his appearance in next week's episode seem like he might become Mothma's financial benefactor and ally.

They don't really need to wrap much up given they've already got a s2, I'm sure many of the plots will be carrying into that. My expectation is s1 will be Andor trying to live his life but getting sucked into rebellion stuff (which has been the case so far) and s2 will be his acceptance of being a proper rebel and actually doing missions for the rebellion as a rebel. Really the only thing that needs to be wrapped up there is Andor accepting a place in the rebellion (which given the death of Marva is fairly easy to see happen in the next episode).

I anticipated this episode to be either action packed or a Segway into the final act of the season.. This episode served a good purpose and I can't wait to see how this first season folds.. Im guessing at the funeral Cassian makes his mind up to join the rebels as he has to evade rebels and imperials/isp and that guy..(forgot his name, lives with his mama)

I think it would be weirdly poetic if Luthen is killed by a Rebel, even randomly. Like someone unwittingly radicalized by him takes him out in a less focused act of violence. A little bit like Omar’s fate in The Wire to random street violence in contrast to how well he is prepared for expected violence against the Empire

I think seeing Anto and his men get “burned” with no cuts or stops would be a cool scene. I doubt it’ll happen like that but it would be a really cool, blunt opening for a finale

I can be so naive at times that it scares me. Would you believe I didn't even think of the possibility that Andor's mum's dead until they showed the body getting put on a "truck". I thought they're taking her to some nursing home they organized for her. If you shot somebody's head off right in front of me, and then dragged the body away I think I'd believe you later if you'd tell me the killed person went to a peaceful farm upstate. xD

Didn't expect Luthen get in a space fight with Empire and even more surprise that he really held his own pretty good against them. He surely prepare well, but now he cannot go anywhere again with his current ship, I'm sure the Empire will red flag/blacklist it.

Hmmm, possibly, but perhaps...and I'm surprised nobody else has noticed this but the the AI on Luthens ship sounds a lot like Alan Tudyk. There's been a couple of vocal "tells" that I've picked up on through the show ("Something I can help you with?") and I'm willing to bet 8 million credits that it's him. I think that Luthens ship will eventually end up being Andors ship (RIP Luthen) and thats how the bond will begin. We already know he has an affinity for droids due to his endearing relationship with Bee. Only time will tell, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the story will unfold. It's sad that Maarva will never know of Andors crucial role in the rebellion.

Two Tubes was likely holding the hilt of his lightsaber before he spoke with Saw. Luthen's very likely a Jedi and his assistant Kleya is like his padawan or a lower ranking Jedi--she follows his lead like a padawan would. Sure, Luthen's ship is a full functioning droid, but Luthen's flying and precision in the fight was all him--those are Jedi reflexes. All this time, I thought we wouldn't get to see a Jedi in this series, but I think we're going to see one next week during the finale. I hope he makes it to the next season, but his speech last week might have foreshadowed his end ='(
