The Empire really cleaned up Coruscant's grittiness.... Everything's too clean and without the glowing holographic signs.... It feels grey and oppressive.

I had the same reaction as you and cheered even louder when Luthen namedropped the Rakatan empire and when I saw Starkiller's dark side helmet in Luthen's museum

I love the fact that the planet was filmed in the Scottish Highlands and then the story of the natives echos that of the Highland Clearances where the people were forced from their land and moved to the industiral centres in the lowlands

I noticed tthis too! The Scottish clearances is how I ended up being born an American. My ancestors were brought to the colonies, Ireland, and England. 🏴 Clan Caldwell was divided into thirds and stripped of their lands..

It's spine tingling when you know the areas first hand and then you see a TIE Fighter buzzing the river, or a frickin' Star Destroyer overhead! Scotland looks amazing in this series, they've really capitalised on the cinematic scenery here!

1. In legends, Kuat was originally where Star Destroyers were built. The ring around the planet was called the Kuat Drive Yards. Boba Fett destroyed the yards during the assault of the second Death Star by crashing a Star Destroyer into the yards. 2. Luthen's ship is labeled as a Fonder haulcraft, but bear bears too many features of Corellian designs (YT type cockpit, corridor rings etc...) 3. I think the sheep are actually nerfs, in comparison to their appearance in the PC video game Galactic Battlegrounds.

Wookipedia says Boba SAVED 80% of the drive yard, when the head of the company, Kuat of Kuat, tried to self destruct it after learning that Palpatin wanted to seize control. Boba piloted the ship giving the self destruct signal out of the drive yard, thus cutting the connection. No info on anything during the second Death Star assault of the drive yards getting destroyed.

I am honestly so happy that Starkiller's helmet from the Dark Side timeline of the Force Unleashed is canon again, even if it's not explained where it comes from but I hope we get to see the helmet in action someday. It's always been one of my favorite helmet designs in the Star Wars universe, Legends or not.

This episode and show are amazing and is the best DisneyPlus show so far with Mando. This feels more like a HBO Show than a DisneyPlus show. Stellan is stealing the show so far and Diego is great and is better in this than in Rogue One. Riley is great as Mon as well and this show is adding depth to her with her scenes with her husband. Loving this show and hyped to see the rest.

I think it’s just a cool Easter egg. I don’t think they have any plans to canonise Starkiller, so they just leave bits and pieces for the fans.

This is, so far, the best property in the entire SW universe w/its competition being only R1 and Mando. The cast is 100x more high brow, gritty and talented than anything else so far in the entire Star Wars universe by a long shot. And using minimal CGI locations makes it so much better.

The Witches of Dathomir was first canonically mention in Star wars: The clone wars: season 3, episode 12, titled "Nightsisters". This episode aired January 7, 2011, almost 2 years before the Disney/Star wars acquisition and a decade before The Book of Boba Fett.

Love how The Empire's presence is by far greater in Andor & threatening juxtaposed to Kenobi & The Mando. Which is brilliant cause The Empire doesn't cameo til Ep 4. Its indicative of great writing & superb visual storytelling.

two things to mention. 1 ackbar was a captain in the min cala military during the clone wars. also when the ISB Major refered to the job as medical really reminded me of Star Wars the Old Republic Imperial Agent Storyline where Keeper (the head of imperial intelligence) refers to the job as akin to sanitation workers who take out the trash and do all the dirty jobs

The Rakatan empire, starkiller's helmet, and so many easter eggs in Luthen's office is a surprise to be sure , but a welcome one. Andor's really getting good by each episode's passing, and it's good to see regular humans doing their spy shit than just Jedi and Sith stuff.

Thank you very much for pointing out some of these things. I love Star wars. I am a fan. I'm not an avid fan as most so I do not let little inconsistencies or little things in the Star wars universe bother Me. But it is nice to know little things that I miss like the gungeon shield and starkiller's armor because I'm so focused on the conversation. Keep it up!

that mandalorian armor was literallly the same as din djarins, clearly its not because of the time difference tho. 5 BBY is the exact time era of The beginning of Star Wars REBELS so those stones of the mortis gods that Feth (or whatever his name was) had in his collection might correlate with the artist imp from rebels that needed sabines help with the deciphering

it looks alot like old republic Jedi armor to, not just Mandalorian armor. but because of Revan and the war, they could be linked

You missed another potential Easter Egg during the Artifact store scene in the backroom where Mon Mothma and Luthen are talking, in one scene in the background slightly out of focus in a top shelf... are two things that look like Holocrons... or at least Holocron shaped... a square box and a Pyramid looking trinket both next to each other

at 0:33 you say "gotyou covered" isn't that an old 8MM camera (circa 1950-60's). Maybe someone with camera knowledge can chime in? Reminds me of an old Mansfield Holiday 8mm with three rotating lenses.
